My wife and I wanted to try a local spot after whale watching and we came across Salt and Iron...what a pleasant surprise! The service and staff was excellent and the food was great. From the seafood to the bison to the dessert (best keylime pie I've ever had!) - we would love to come back!
I love salt and iron and go there for special occasions. In the past we have particularly loved their oysters, however, on the last several visits we have found the oysters to be lacking. This time they were definitely off. All the other food was marvelous as usual. I won't be ordering any more oysters at salt iron unless I can be sure they're delivered fresh.
First time here for brunch. Excellent selection ranging from tartines to full breakfasts. Service was prompt and friendly, our two choices (avocado and smoked salmon tartines) were delicious. Great drip coffee and pricing seemed reasonable. Really enjoyed our meal.
Great food and ambiance — even better staff and minimal wait times between dishes. The presentation and flavor of each dish is appealing. Our waitress was courteous and knowledgeable of each kind of oyster.
Came here for an anniversary dinner before a show at the Edmonds Center for the Arts and it did not disappoint! We started with the garlic fries (perfection, I could eat those all day) and oysters, then split the green salad (the olives made it salty, but it was good). I had the 4 oz filet from the small plates menu, which was the perfect size given our appetizers and salad. It even came with more whipped potatoes than I expected for a small plate! My husband got the prawn risotto, and the street corn flavors were on point. We finished the meal with the pumpkin spice mousse, because it's not fall without pumpkin spice. The cocktails were also top notch and inventive, my husband had The Rising Sun and the Ahumado. I had the Lavender Days and The Dreamsicle, which will be just right for you if you also love floral cocktails served in coupe glasses! That evening we were members of the clean plate club and finished off Every. Single. Morsel. It was very delicious; we'll definitely come back and are planning on trying brunch soon. Thanks for a great evening!
Always come here with my boys for special occasions and this visit did not disappoint. Everyone was so wonderful and the everything we ordered was over-the-top flavorful and beautifully presented. Thank you!
the wine dinner menu was incredible. I am not really a seafood fan so the first 2 courses were ok, but the smoked chicken thigh and NY strip courses were amazing. The pastry chefs contributions were delicious. Truly a gift to experience those scones and jam with my tea the next day. The restaurant staff and winery staff were knowledgeable and attentive. I hope to see future wine dinners at Salt and Iron, we were very impressed.
Overall our experience was fair. The service was quite good, but the food was mediocre at best. I had a small filet, which was tender and cooked properly, but the sauce was too salty. After I pointed that out to our server, there was no offer to me to try something else. Can't judge too harshly, though, because this was our first time there. Another visit might yield better results.
Food quality, service both excellent. This was our third visit here and we were not disappointed. I had the 3oz filet and was transported by the quality of the meat and the preparation. Will definitely return again!
We wanted to go someplace that had good steak and the reviews all said Salt and Iron. My husband had the Filet Mignon Steak Frites and it was excellent. The fries were yummy. I had the Steak Salad with a 4 oz filet mignon which was excellent. Our friends had the prawns risotto - terrific and the Pork Chop with the shrimp. Everyone enjoyed the food and the mixed drinks were so good we got two each.

The watermelon dessert was excellent. The entrees were OK, but there was a lot of bacon in the steak salad which didn't need to be there for my taste. It seemed rather expensive, but I guess that's the way it is at restaurants these days. I would go back in the afternoon for desserts. That was the best part of the meal. The servers were very friendly and accomodating.
Service was below expectation. Salad came early and before appetizer. Server forgot oyster/appetizer - we had to ask. Had to ask to order wine after entrees arrived. Wanted a better experience from Salt and Iron.
The food was absolutely amazing! The flavors of each dish were perfectly combined. The service was top-notch, and the ambiance added to the overall great experience. Highly recommend this restaurant!
Always the very best food and people helping with the food to table! The noise inside is a little too much for me, so I always eat outside. The food is notable, and always more than worth return visits!
Loved it! The salad and Seafood Chowder were so good. Two guests had the 4 oz Filets and they really enjoyed them. Dana, our Server, was attentive and very careful with the menu regarding a guest with Celiac and Dairy intolerance. He had a pleasant demeanor and was professional and efficient. Salt and Iron is one of our “Go-To” places to dine and socialize!
