We love S & I! It's a noisy spot, have always wished they'd add tablecloths for dinner to aid with noise and add to ambience but the food is always so solid. We had the octopus appetizer and I am going to come back and have this for my dinner. Sooooooo delicious!

It was my husband's birthday. Our server Diane was incredibly rude from the start. Despite our best efforts to rectify the situation (including me mentioning to her it was his birthday in hopes she would be a bit more polite), it was clear it wasn't going to happen. After years of being patrons of the restaurant, we likely won't return. That being said, the woman who greeted and sat us was absolutely lovely and was the night's only saving grace.

Great oyster selection, incredible chowder and fantastic cocktails (I hope they'll add the Bollivar to their regular drinks list). We had the salmon and burger and both were excellent. And the staff are always friendly and attentive. One of the best spots in Edmonds!

Four longtime friend meetup to celebrate two birthdays for brunch. We did family style and thoroughly enjoyed our delectable Delicata squash tartine and jalapeño cheddar biscuits as an appetizers. Chilaquiles and a stock breakfast for mains THEN French Toast for dessert. So glad we all enjoy sharing food!!

We were looking for good good in a relaxed place and not noisy. Salt & Iron fit the bill. Diana was a great server and so helpful. The calamari was a hit as an appetizer. I had the Black Cod and it was incredible. Too much for me to eat though. My date had the prawns. Spicy and he loved it. The berry meringue made the perfect ending.

We had a very nice meal. The food was pretty good. The meat was slightly over done but good and flavourful. The service was excellent. The management did everything possible to ensure we got a table in the area we preferred. We will certainly return for a meal and cocktails.

Great place to celebrate birthday with a group of friends. The staff were very attentive. All the food came out at same time, which is always a feat. Gave me a lovely birthday candle with good wishes. Had a wonderful time.

Salt and Iron attracts lots of people for Sunday Brunch. So I booked it for my mother in law's 84 birthday and took her and my wife out for what I thought would be a special brunch. I had let them know on the app that it was her birthday. No one ever acknowledged that. We were seated right away near the door because my mother in law is in a wheel chair. The server came by and took our beverage order. That was fine. But we ordered a cinnamon roll to share and our entrees. The entrees came and we still hadn't received the cinnamon roll. The server apologized and said she would bring it right out. It still took another ten minutes and we were well into our entrees. Again she apologized and comped the roll. The entrees were disappointing. I had biscuits and gravy and they seemed to have sat in a warmer for some time and were quite dry. So was the late cinnamon roll. Overall it was a disappointing experience.

My husband and I had a wonderful time! We had the salt and iron with the new your strip. The broccolini was a little too al dente for us, but the rest of the food was awesome! Our waiter was good, and the lady who delivered our food was joy! This will continue to be our celebration spot!

We dined the evening before Valentine's Day to avoid the rush and had a wonderful experience with the selection of food items/beverages and the service. Everything tasted delicious, was cooked well, and looked beautiful. We enjoyed fresh oysters as the appetizer - a very fresh assortment! I ordered the risotto, and my husband had the beef burger with crispy shoestring French fries, which were the best French fries we've ever had. Joshua was our server and even though it was busy, he was very engaged with us and offered great suggestions. We weren't rushed through dinner and he made us feel very welcome!

The food was, as always, outstanding. There are a lot of brunch options and my party chose 3 of 4, i.e. two benedicts, a salmon tartine and the chilaquiles. Everyone was very happy with the results - large portions, very high quality, and great attention to detail - and it was also easy, in one case, to substitute a salad for potatoes. The service was a bit slow but the place was extremely crowded so I doubt it is always that slow. The reasons for receiving only a 4 out of 5 are as follows - 1. it is extremely noisy; outside the dining room especially, but the packed dining room is also very noisy so it was not a relaxed atmosphere for conversation; 2. not sure if this relates to ambiance, but there are only 2 bathrooms for such a large place, which can make for significant wait times.

The restaurant made my daughter 60th birthday celebration very special. They went out of their way to be considerate and helpful. Our server was exceptional. Even though the restaurant was busy she was attentive every minute that we were there. It is really a wonderful experience when dealing with local owners in Edmonds. The food was as delicious as always! Brunch is fabulous!

Food is always good as are the cocktails. The waiter was very friendly. The noise level is high and hard to hear if there are more than 1-2 people at a table.Tables for more than 4 are tight and cramped

3 tries to coo our $80 steak mostly medium rare. Lots of shell and sand in over half our dozen oysters. Black cod was cooked perfectly. Tartare was nice. Server was good. Restaurant was super dark hard to read menu.

I've had both lunch (which turned out to be brunch) and an evening appetizer/vino at Salt & Iron in the last couple weeks. It had been maybe 2 years since I'd been there. Service is warm, professional and timely. Their food is consistently great. Last time sat at one of the high tables in the bar and it was a little loud (football game on) but still was able to have a conversation.
