Rusty Pelican Cafe Reviews
My husband and I have walked past this place several times in the evenings and said we wanted to try it sometime, so I was thrilled when my bestie picked it as the place for me to take her to her birthday lunch. There was no wait and we were seated right away. The server came by quickly with a platter of coffee cake, which we declined, to ask if we would like to order drinks and ask if we had any questions about the menu. I have some food allergies and such so asked about a...read full review
Went to the Mill Creek location yesterday. I used to love this place. They’ve jacked up their prices and the food wasn’t as good this time.
Example of prices:
$5.95 for drip coffee that wasn’t even good. My home Keurig makes a better coffee.
$27 for avocado toast with scrambled eggs.

We we’re greeted promptly and quickly seated which is rare these days. Our waiter was Andrew and he also attended to us promptly and was kind from the start. My wife had the Nutella crepes and biscuits with peppered gravy. The Rusty Pelican Cafe offers a delightful dining experience with good service and fantastic food. The menu features tempting options like crab benedict and Belgian waffles with strawberries. The restaurant is wheelchair-accessible and offers a pleasant window-seat ambiance. Guests praise the fresh, high-quality ingredients used in dishes.
The cafe is a local favorite for breakfast and lunch, with a full breakfast & lunch menu available online. Customers enjoy the delicious breakfast combos, such as eggs and French toast or waffles, along with specialties like coffee cake. Lunch options, like the combo of half a sandwich and a salad, are also praised. The atmosphere is bright and welcoming, with indoor and street side seating, making it a great place to gather with friends from across northern Seattle.
While service is consistently friendly and attentive, some find the food to be only so-so, describing the menu as huge but the dishes as fairly mediocre. Portions are generous, and the Bloody Mary is highly recommended, pairing well with meals. The cafe can get crowded in the mornings, so arriving early is suggested. Overall, it remains a popular spot for relaxed brunch or lunch in the Wallingford neighborhood, with a cozy, casual-dining atmosphere that feels like a home away from home.
