I wish I could rate it higher. It is not the Irishman from Years gone bye. The beef stew was tasteless and lukewarm at best. The Irish soda bread was cold and tasteless. It took 40 minutes to get a pretzel as an appetizer with half a shotglass worth of cheese sauce. My wife ordered calcannon and was told after 30 minutes they were out of corned beef at 5:30 so she ordered shepherds pie and after an hour and 10 minutes we left when it still had not arrived. The room was so loud you could barely hear to place an order. The only good thing about the visit was the Black & Tan was spot on.

I was super excited to try this place however I became quickly disappointed. Although the atmosphere was wonderful, the food was… lacking. We started our evening with Poutine which was decent. No solid complaints. Just not in my top five. My biggest problem was with the Guinness Beef stew. It came out at room temperature and there was no beef or potatoes to be found. Now the potatoes I can give some leniency to as I only assumed there were potatoes in the stew from a photo found here on google. But no beef? I felt like the where’s the beef lady. It was more like an unsalted onion soup with carrots in it. I will say they did have good chicken strips…. And the service was slightly above average for how busy it was. So although I’m not entirely impressed I would revisit for a second chance and a further exploration of the menu.🤞it was just an off night and next time will be better.

I was weary as a person of color to go to an Irish bar especially by myself however I found myself so upset that I didn't get the courage to come in sooner!!! The regulars were so friendly and the barkeeps were welcoming! From the outside it looks like it may be a cramped bar but honestly it was quite spacious! And then there's the food, Holy smokes yall it's the real deal! Indulgent, hearty, seasoned thoroughly, and made with attention to detail. Everything is priced very fairly not a budget bar but also not 100 bucks for a burger and 3 beers kinda place either! A true 10/10 in my book🧡

Fun place to check out on our way to Angel of the Winds Arena to attend Nikki Glaser show. We some excellent drinks and the pretzel sticks with beer cheese was excellent. Crispy on the outside and soft in the middle. Place was hoppin' but our waitress was attentive.

Restaurantji Recommends
Irish all the way. Shepards pie was amazing. Will go back for that. Server was okay. Seemed very nervous/awkward. Bangers and Mash were also a hit. Another plus - 10pm and still get great food. Place was fairly quiet on a Monday night at 6pm with a group of men having drinks and a couple of women with drinks, talking away. Nice wood bar.
I recommend the fish and chips.
Exactly what I expect from an Irish pub. Good music, good beer.
I had the Shepard pie and was over salted. The bar keeper was extremely rude and unprofessional.
Waitress was fantastic. Bartender refused to serve us even though we were sober. It was our first stop of the night. Felt like a locals only vibe
