I wish I could rate it higher. It is not the Irishman from Years gone bye. The beef stew was tasteless and lukewarm at best. The Irish soda bread was cold and tasteless. It took 40 minutes to get a pretzel as an appetizer with half a shotglass worth of cheese sauce. My wife ordered calcannon and was told after 30 minutes they were out of corned beef at 5:30 so she ordered shepherds pie and after an hour and 10 minutes we left when it still had not arrived. The room was so loud...
I was super excited to try this place however I became quickly disappointed. Although the atmosphere was wonderful, the food was… lacking. We started our evening with Poutine which was decent. No solid complaints. Just not in my top five. My biggest problem was with the Guinness Beef stew. It came out at room temperature and there was no beef or potatoes to be found. Now the potatoes I can give some leniency to as I only assumed there were potatoes in the stew from a photo found...
