We went here before the opera and were delighted by the food and service. We tried multiple small dishes and everything was fantastic. A special shout-out to the asparagus, salmon burrata, and Fancy Seattle roll. Great drinks as well. The server was so sweet, attentive, and funny, and the food came out quickly! We had a reservation which I recommend especially on a weekend or before a nearby event (opera, concert, etc) as it's not a very big restaurant.

Great sushi, exceedingly great service. I had dinner by myself during the week. Immediate bar seating without a wait. I had the tuna sashimi sampler special, multiple pieces of nigiri, and a specialty roll along with warm sake. My waitress was super kind, made great suggestions, and swung by every now and then for short, pleasant conversation. Loved the food and experience.

My husband and I eat a ton of sushi and this is our favorite restaurant. We always order the sashimi platter, spicy scallop handrolls (beyond incredible) and the geso karage. The staff are so kind and friendly and the owner is a wonderful person. When we got back from our honeymoon, they treated us to a lava cake for dessert (so thoughtful!!). We live close by and this is our go to spot and happy place. We appreciate Moontree so much - it really enhances our life!!
