Went in for Cinco De Mayo. They were closing 2 hours early. Their reasoning was they were too slow even though they had customers currently in the building and had only one cook. I had to suffer the consequences for their poor scheduling on one of the most busy days for Mexican food. Bad management and staff.

The salsa was less spicy than my love life, which is about as zesty as a raw potato. However, I ate a large plate of two tacos in about 10 minutes. En otros palabras, esta bien.

This place has been a favorite of ours for some time now before hockey games. However, the last 2 times we've been here were a disaster. Came here with friends on 1/22 for dinner before a hockey game. Bad idea - had to wait OVER AN HOUR to find out it would be another 45 minutes! So crabby and disappointed to leave with no dinner. Just the 2 of us tonight - it wasn't busy upstairs at all, maybe 4 tables, and the waitress messed up our order after being given explicit instructions for what we wanted. When I brought it to her attention, she said there's just sooo much to remember. Very disappointing because we have bragged about this place to lots of folks for its high quality food and the great salsa bar. Tonight? First time I've ever seen the bar run out of salsa. May have to wait a long time before we come back.

We ate at Papa's last Friday night. They were extremely busy. Somehow our order got missed. They wanted to make it right, but we couldn't wait any longer. I spoke to Tony, owner?/manager? And he insisted we let him make it right. He said "we, the customer are more important than the money". He not only refunded all of our money, but gave us a gift certificate to their restaurant. He went over and above what I evrr expected.

Went here last Friday before the Silvertips game with my husband and son. We were seated pretty quickly and unfortunately that is where any type of efficient ended. We were at our table for 20 minutes before receiving any sort of acknowledgement - and only because we were desperately flagging someone down. Finally a server came to and asked "Did you order the pitcher of margaritas?". I told her no, no we've been here for 20 minutes and no one has taken our order." She then flagged down another server, said something to her and then they both just stared at me confused and said someone will be right back to take your order. 10 minutes later we FINALLY were able to put our food and drink orders in. Meanwhile, the restaurant is clearing out and we see several tables who were there well before us still hadn't received their food. Some were getting their plates one by one so some in their party would have already eaten while the other watched, still waiting for their food, visibly irritated. The table adjacent from us was overhead asking when their order would be out since they'd been there so long. Another table got the wrong order. We asked for more chips - we were informed they were out of chips. Oof. After waiting for over an hour and realizing it would be another 20-30 minutes till we would receive our food (many of those tables before us still had no food), we got up and left. Luckily, the pizza line at the arena was short and we were able to catch the last half of the first period. Clearly slow, unprepared service has been an issue at this location for a long time. At this point they should know to staff accordingly on the weekends or on nights when there are events downtown. Also, the restaurant was not any busier than any other sit down restaurant/bar on a Friday night. Hope the manager/owner is reading these comments and makes some changes as the location is great and I've heard the food is decent.

Worst. Mexican. Food. Ever. After LITERALLY waiting for an hour and a half, no joke... They brought out our unrecognizable so called order. The food was so vile that our party of 4 left without touching our plates. What the hell are they making at this joint??

This is a late review, but it's for last Saturday right before the Silvertips game.. We were going to go to the Brooklynn Brother's Pizza, until a lady in there wouldn't let us sit down at a table with my nephew who is 3 years old.. So we went here instead to eat before the game. Our server, Jonathan, went above and beyond customer service. The food was good, once it came correctly. There was a slight confusion with the kitchen, but all is well. There was a small hole in the wall, where a bug came out. We pointed these things out to Jonathan, and he was so nice and apologetic. He gave us half off of everything we ordered. The food was a bit over priced though, and the tables are a little crammed.. I just cannot say how thankful I was for Jonathan going above and beyond enough.
Go to restaurant at 5:15, sat at 5:30, not bad. Ordered dinner immediately and waited. 6:30 we walked out never getting our dinner. Several other couples were leaving too. They lost a lot of business and future business with very slow cooks. Wont recommend.

Tried to track down waitress but she never checked on us during that hour we waited. Several other couples were leaving too. They lost a lot of business and future business with very slow cooks. This little restaurant is a gem. The lunch specials are well priced and the food meets expectations, which is all you can really ask for. The salsa bar is good and the staff is friendly. I eat here often.

We were there for dinner and a drink before the tips game. Place was packed, so we decided on a drink as to not miss the puck drop. The staff were crazy busy, but super nice. Our drinks arrived in decent time and the staff were so nice. We will be back another time for sure!
