I came here with my baby, and the server Vanessa was SO kind to us. She went above and beyond - helped with my baby's high chair, made my baby smile, and did everything she could to be kind and welcoming and give me as a mom a friendly space to enjoy the wonderful Xiao Long Bao. I haven't had a soup dumpling in years - they were so nourishing, and I feel so refreshed and happy after this experience! Thank you Vanessa for your wonderful kindness! I will be back!

I was excited to give this place a shot, but I dont think I'll be coming back for seconds.
I placed my order and was told it would be ready around 1:55. I showed up around 2pm and proceeded to wait. 5 minutes go by and an employee puts an order behind the front desk, where it sits for the next 10 minutes. A random employee comes by and asks me what my name is, only to hand me the order thats been off of heat for 10 minutes. Im not sure why a name for the order wasnt called out when it was brought out from the kitchen.
We ended up spending around $43 on 4 different dishes and disappointed was an understatement. The quality and quantity weren't up to snuff. Maybe if you dine in the quality will be better. The noodles were overcooked and the dumplings were tiny, but at least they were somewhat flavorful.
If I wanted to get more bang for buck, id walk over to Trader Joe's where $8 gets you sizeable dumplings that are just as flavorful.

They raised their prices on doordash
My wife and I had dinner here tonight for the first time and were really impressed. We’d heard about Dough Zone but didn’t know what to expect. The restaurant was about one-third full when we arrived and completely full by the time we left.
We were seated quickly and handed a small sheet of paper with a pen but no real explanation. It took a minute to figure out that you scan the QR code on the table for the full menu and then mark your choices on the paper. Once we did, it all made sense—and honestly, the menu is one of the best digital menus I’ve seen. It’s bright, beautifully designed, with clear pictures and descriptions of every dish.
We ordered the Green Onion Pancake, Dan Dan Noodles, Beef Pancake Roll, Yibin Noodles, and Beef Steamed Dumplings. Every dish was fantastic—fresh, flavorful, and served as soon as it was ready. Each one had its own distinct flavor profile, and we enjoyed every bite.
For dessert, we tried the Pumpkin Dumplings served with whipped cream, and they were fabulous—light, slightly sweet, and the perfect ending to a great meal.
The décor is clean, modern, and inviting with an elegant Asian-inspired touch. Soft background music added a calm vibe that made the whole experience relaxing.
Overall, Dough Zone is a great addition to Federal Way dining—excellent food, reasonable prices, and a fun ordering system once you know how it works. We’ll definitely be back to explore more of the menu. Highly recommended.

I went with my mom and the service was truly awful. It was very clear on how we were treated and unfortunately I believe it was racism. Dough Zone please do better next and train your employees to just be a little kinder if they want a tip.

I ordered three different types of dumplings and they all tasted the same. The crispy bottoms that was on my pork dumplings tasted acrid. The portions are small, and the prices big. This place is not worth the money. It also took a while for me to get my food.
Additionally, their service was kind of rude. I was chewing my last bite when the waiter walked up and handed me the checkout phone device thingy. It was like they wanted me to leave the moment I was finished.

We just love Dough Zone and typically order a variety of dumplings and eat family style. Friendly service, great dumplings, at a reasonable price point. We prefer to eat in as delivery has never been a positive experience and dining in never disappoints! Sign up for the loyalty program on the website - staff don't mention it but it's easy to sign up.

I love Chinese, but not from here. Ordered take out and when i opened my packaged beef wrap, i started to gag. The smell was so bad that i wasn't even able to get in my mouth. Ordered the beef potstickers as well, which also went in garbage as the beef inside just didn't look right and i'm 99% sure wasn't even beef. The passion fruit tea was ok but the after taste was not. Paid $50 that went straight into garbage. So bad that seeing if my dogs wanted food was not an option. With living expenses so high and new fees & taxes for every thing possible, i DO NOT have $50 to waste. I've noticed this happening more & more from restaurants ( who dump on the take outs as an easy cheat for them ) and not only is it not right but it also stealing money from people who work just as hard as they do for their money. Yes they having to pay more for products, but raising prices and putting on customers, pays for that. Buying cheaper products with little product in it, is not the way to go, nor is serving bad product because you don't want to lose money that you paid for it. Appearances & reviews mean nothing today as you simply can't trust anyone anymore. Save your money & hope for the best from another place.

Can't go wrong with dough zone. Always good! Get the dan dan!
Food is bland and greasy. There was no soy or dipping sauce included with the dumplings!
This is my second time here and it was still good. I just wished they had spicer sauces. That would have elevated the experience. The food came out really fast and everything was made right where you can see the chefs.
Yes!! Very similar to Taiwan. Everything was amazing tonight. The kids said they wish they could eat this every day.
Cramped table experience, pushy staff, waited 2 hours for food. Was okay food but it was so slow to get to us. They forgot to give us part of the order for an additional 30 minutes. Said they would comp it, still got charged. Never again.
