I’ve really enjoyed dining at Nami Omakase and have been here four times, always choosing the omakase experience. However, during my most recent visit, the quality didn’t feel the same.

Previously, the dishes were elevated with gold flakes, caviar, and truffle, as shown in the photos I’ve posted. Unfortunately, this time the omakase lacked these premium touches, and the cuts felt more like standard quality. If I had wanted simpler cuts, I would have opted for the $59 sushi plate instead.

We did bring this to the server’s attention, and they were kind enough to offer us an extra piece and take $5 off the bill, which we appreciated.

I don’t mean to complain, but I wanted to share this feedback in the hopes that the consistency of the omakase experience remains as exceptional as it was in the past.

Saw that they have a birthday deal, scanned n registered online, but they don't honor same day birthday. Apparently you must register ahead of time, no where did it say that , and no idea when their system update to send you the"promotion". food was decent, salmon was relatively fresh and service was decent, salmon don could use some sauce, promotion was deceptional though.

My first time here with my sister and my mom was great. Atmosphere, food and service was good. However, 5 days ago on a Saturday night I went with my husband, toddler and infant for dinner and had a different experience. It was 3 hours before closing time, we were standing in line behind a group on the right side. There were a lot of customers but there were open tables as well. The hostess went to sit the group in front of us and I thought she was going to come back for us next, but she went ahead and assisted the family who literally just walked in through the door. She went back for us right away and sat us so although my husband was a little pissed (husband is sensitive because he’s had a lot experiences with racial insults and unfair treatment due to race so he instantly assumed it’s that; I am more oblivious to it and don’t assume the worst of people so I thought nothing of it until he said something). We said we’d forget it and just enjoy the good food, give her the benefit of the doubt. Then comes our server. We said what we wanted for appetizer and she literally walked away so fast without even asking if that was all what we wanted. I had to say wait and call her back because we weren’t done ordering. My husband was really put off by this and it started to bother me too. I like the food and am still willing to come back but my husband won’t be.

Sushi was fresh and a good variety. The rice had a little too much vinegar but I don't mind as it did not mask the fish. The salmon teriyaki was outstanding. My dining companion likes their bento box except for the katsu cod which was very overcooked.

If you're ever in this place, you must try their Chicken Teriyaki. They make it 10 out of 10. Unreal taste. It also comes with a salad, and the salad is super fresh.
