Five women had a fabulous dinner at the restaurant( paella, chicken, ahi and scallops(2). We shared the taco appetizer and German chocolate dessert. Everything was delicious. Staff responsive and friendly but not intrusive. Wonderful

We loved both of our experiences at Pimienta Bistro and Bar. EVERYTHING on their menu is phenomenal and well-thought out, in addition to being really creative. Their entrees pair the best combos together. The owner is fantastic and has her own tequila! Must try.

Enjoyed the delicious beet salad and a special seafood pasta for Sunday evening dinner. The room was lively, the service was unbeatable, and the food was wonderful as always. Pimienta provides the best dining experience in Federal Way and NE Tacoma, no question.

Another delightful dining experience at Pimienta! Every few weeks my partner and I meet for dinner here on Sunday after spending the weekend with our families. This time we were the only customers in the place (!) and every aspect of the experience was wonderful as always. Our cocktails were delicious, both the non-alcoholic and the house special tequila margarita. The soup de jour was a rich, spicy tomato basil bisque and the Pimienta salad was tasty and refreshing as always. We had the Pollo Rostizado and the special rigatoni with beef tips, prawns & mushrooms in a bleu cheese cream sauce and they were wonderful. But really, the whole menu is excellent! The service is warm and friendly. We always enjoy the music here - this time it was very nice Mexican pop music. Other times it's Sinatra or Italian, but always uplifting. Pimienta is a true hidden gem! Not a place for mass-produced meals from a laminated menu or mediocre portions so huge you'll be lugging home half of your dinner. Just really delicious, creatively crafted food and beverages in an inviting and intimate space hosted by welcoming people who do an outstanding job every time.

Pimienta is truly a hidden gem in Northeast Tacoma. Book in advance as the secret is getting out! You will not be disappointed in any respect as I noted with my stars.

Nice crowd for Sunday dinner but pleasant noise level (and always great music!). Red snapper special and the regular menu Pollo Rostizado were both delicious. Service was great as always. We always enjoy our frequent visits to Pimienta.

My Fiance said it was one of her best steaks she's ever had in her life. I loved the steak. I personally wish the portions were bigger. Maybe like veggies along side the potatoes. But everything tasted phenomenally. It was quiet and warm. Even thoe we were close to the door. The lighting and decorations were amazing. The Tequilas were amazing! Our server had the best timing. Desert was amazing. I think the Staff are amazing and 10 out of 10. I think if your wanting to try this resteraunt. Do it. It was amazing.

The atmosphere, service and food could not be better. We traveled from Bellevue and it was worth the drive. We'll go again and again. Reasonably priced for the generous portions. Most highly recommended.

The intimate, quiet ambiance of the restaurant instantly transported us to a high-end dining experience that felt both sophisticated and welcoming.

For our entrees, we opted for the seared scallops and the special, pan-seared red snapper — both of which were exquisite. The scallops, perfectly cooked with a delicate, buttery finish, were a highlight for my husband. I savored the red snapper, which was fresh and flaky, paired with flavors that truly enhanced the fish without overpowering it. The attention to detail in each dish was evident, showcasing the skill and care that goes into each preparation.

We were impressed not only by the quality of the food but also by the restaurant’s dedication to providing a truly refined dining experience. The service was attentive without being intrusive, and the owner’s personal touch made us feel right at home.

Even though it’s been around for over a decade, we’re so glad to have discovered Pimiento Bistro & Bar. We will definitely be returning soon for another memorable meal. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a fine dining experience in Federal Way.

The ambiance is amazing! The food did come out just a bit too cold for my taste, while the scallops were buttery delicious, they were a little chilled by the time the food came out. The port belly flavors were delectable, but unfortunately the pork belly was a little over done.

We celebrated our 32nd Wedding Anniversary at Pimienta Bistro & Bar and were surprised to have Chef/Owner Blanca greet and serve us (her wait staff had car trouble). We had a bottle of the exclusive house Chardonnay, which was enjoyed by both of us. We started out with the Chili and Lime Chickpeas, which had just the right amount of heat with a hint of lime—perfect crispiness and generous portion. In addition, we had the Nectarine Caprese, which was a very unique take on a Caprese. A bite with the Panela cheese, basil, nectarine and sunflower seeds was a delectable combination. My husband had the Pan Seared Scallops, which were each served on a delicious polenta cake, and a very yummy lobster-truffle buerre blanc. I had the special Red Snapper with cheesy risotto cake, which was very delicious. Chef Blanca let us try a sip of her exclusive Colibri Tequila Reposado and we were so impressed, we bought a bottle to bring home—hints of vanilla made it a very unique tequila, very smooth. We will be back and are recommending to our friends!

In case you need a fresh excuse to visit NE Tacoma... Pimienta Bistro! It's in a strip mall across from a Brown Bear Car Wash, but don't let that fool you. Pimienta is a neighborhood gem — Chef/Owner Blanca Rodriguez is super talented. They recently went to Jalisco to create their own Reposado Tequila and it's mighty tasty. We attended their tequila-pairing meal — the introduction of the spirit — and everything was delicious. (Try the tequila cocktails, but also order a shot so you can sip & savor the undiluted spirit. You might even decide to take a bottle home!) ~Watch for the Monthly Dinners Around the World series, and the last-Sunday-of-the-month Brunch. Pimienta has long been one of our favorite date night outings. We love it!
