We started with wonderful margaritas and calamari that was superb. For dinner we had the pork chop and the duck. Both entrees were really good. We did not leave a morsal on our plates or in our glasses..

Four of us shared a birthday dinner which was quite wonderful. Each of us was happy with our dinners and had fabulous desserts to share. Our server was very responsive, and friendly. We all enjoyed her a lot.

I enjoyed a really special four-course dinner on "around the world" night this month, featuring cuisine of Costa Rica. Every course was wonderful: beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. I don't know how Chef Blanca does it for just one meal each month but I never miss one if I can possible be there!

I have been meaning to try this place out for quite some time now. It was amazing. The vibe walking in, the art on the wall, the music playing, it all felt so nice. We were acknowledged and seated quickly. Our server was so sweet and accommodating. Okay so I really just want to share about the food because OMG, the flavors are WOW!! From the crisp and richness of butternut tacos, to the zest of the tomato sauce and chorizo with the clams. The bread was perfectly toasted and able to sop up the sauce of the clams. Then on to the entrees. My scallops were oh so tasty. Polenta cakes were crispy as well with the perfectly seared scallop and creamy beurre blanc lobster truffle sauce. My husband had the Pollo Rostizado. The balance of the green salad, risotto and chicken were a perfect combination. We ended our meal with the pistachio ricotta cake. It was nice and light, perfectly sweetened. I'm not one for too much sugar. Almost forgot to mention I had the Mango Mezcal. Not only was it beautiful in presentation but it was delicious and gave a perfect lil buzz. The only supposed "negative" is the wall seating was hard wood and not so comfy but everything else was fabulous. Excited to try the rest of the menu!!!!

Very good food. Loved it. The reservation step was a little tricky. They responded quickly to my questions on the website. Glad they allowed kids. Nice atmosphere. Will go back. I need to try their monthly special on Thu.

Had dinner 3 times now at this restaurant. The menu does rotate which is always a plus. I do recommend a reservation for dinner, but one time we went early and had no issues sitting at the bar. My only complaint for the dinner tables were how close they were, but I get it. It's a small space and very cozy. The foods and drinks I've had were all delicious and very fresh. This is one of my top 3 date night places in the Federal Way area. The ambience, food and service are all top notch. And now I'm hungry thinking about it.

Liked the drink and the bread. Salad was not tasty. Linguine was very disappointing: shrimp was raw and lobster tail meat was missing! Duck was also not tasty! My daughter liked the cake. Only one server for the entire dining area who also mixed the drinks! Although she really tried to provide good service, she simply could not cover well. Even though the bistro ambiance was pleasant enough, - would not consider returning.

The food was ok it was just bland. We had the lamb shank and the special which was scallops and shrimp and a zucchini mushroom gratin. The meats were cooked perfectly but they lacked any real flavor besides salt and pepper and the gratin had so much cheese it was almost inedible. We paid $157 including tip for 1 appetizer 2 entrees a glass of wine and one beer overall not worth it will not be going again until they add some seasoning.

From the drinks to the entrees, always interesting choices. I love to cook so I love food that I don't make. It is a treat for a good cook. It will be a treat for you as well.

Valentine's day menu was very good. We had the steak, which was prepared exactly as ordered and tasted delicious. It was first time at restaurant so we didn't get to try regular menu. We don't drink alcohol so didn't try any of the great looking drinks. They made iced tea after we ordered it, it was very good. We will definitely eat here again. The restaurant was busy and did an excellent job getting us seated and served.

Dined on a quiet Sunday evening (Super Bowl day) and enjoyed salads, clam chowder and Pollo Rostizado - all excellent. Pimienta is my favorite neighborhood gem for dining alone, for a romantic dinner. or for sharing a special meal with family or friends.

My husband and I happened upon this place as we drove by and peeked our heads in. The owner and chef welcomed us in for drinks even though they hadn’t technically opened yet. She gave us recommendations that were HEAVEN and was so kind and welcoming. Would recommend everyone give it a try! Lovely ambience, classy but not pretentious at all, with a truly caring thoughtful owner and chef, and amazing food.

Great place. The owner is so nice and accommodating. Food is great. We keep going back. Don't let the location fool you. It's a gem.

My companion and I both enjoyed the salmon/linguini special. The butternut squash soup was excellent as well. The restaurant was busy but there were only couples dining that night so it was unusually quiet. The perfect beginning to a week's vacation after running out of food at home!
