I visited Tokyo Japanese Steakhouse in Federal Way with a party of three for the teppanyaki experience. The hostess seemed more focused on training another employee than acknowledging arriving customers, even while I was standing directly in front of her. After providing my full name and phone number, I was told the wait would be 10–15 minutes, but it was closer to 20 minutes, followed by another long wait before the chef arrived.

We visited Tokyo Japanese Steak House for the teppanyaki experience. We arrived fairly early for dinner, but we still had to wait because we didn't have a reservation.

One thing to know before you go is that they don't start cooking for just one family. Guests from different parties are seated together around the same grill, and the chef begins only after most of the seats are filled. We waited about 15–20 minutes to be seated, and then waited...

I can't say I was greatly pleased, there was not a lot of showmanship from the server or interaction. Plus he had a cough and did so as he was cooking. As far as the food, it was just ok, for me .... not a lot of taste rather boring.
