Ordered take out. Taste, texture, smell-everything was horrible. No one would touch after first bite. All went in trash.

I've supported this business for a long time, it's completely gone down hill. Smaller plates with higher prices??? Food quality is old and chewy.

The cashier was very rude and could barely speak English. She had no customer service skills and she was telling me to hurry and pay because she has people behind me, mind you there was only one customer behind me. I’m disabled and a senior citizen so it takes me longer. I’ve been coming here for years and I’ve never been treated this way, I’m so disappointed.

They sold us spoiled food and when we went back the lady at the counter was very rude and refused to give us her name and told us to come back Thursday when the owner comes In

Last year they were decent. But now they are absolutely amazing I have gone two times in the last month or two and the food was a 10 out of 10 every time. Very reasonably priced. And they pack your take out tray I almost wasn't able to finish both times.

Yoko's once was a great teriyaki place in the NE Tacoma area. Yoko's take-out used to be a hundred times better than it was in the Spring of 2023. I'm not sure if Yoko's changed staff, was under new management, or changed suppliers in 2023..... but Yoko's has gone way downhill.

After 2022 Yoko's only served what might be considered decent teriyaki. In the past, i've enjoyed their various teriyaki dishes, katsu prawns, tempura, and egg rolls. Yoko's chicken once was reliably tender and flavorful. Up until the Spring of 2023, soup & salad were included with each take-out meal, and teriyaki dishes were each served on a bed of rice. But no longer, it seems. Out of the last 3 teriyaki take-out entrees i ordered, none were served on a bed of rice, none included miso, and only 1 teriyaki meal included a salad. After enjoying Yoko's tempura and teriyaki so many times in the past, the last few take-out orders from Yoko's were a big disappointment. My last time at Yoko's may have been the worst tempura i've ever tasted. Their teriyaki meat itself is still somewhat decent, but a little less appealing than before. Their food tasted different, so they might have changed the teriyaki sauce.

Yoko's is no longer recommended. Caution: eat at Yoko's in NE Tacoma at your own risk.

Food was okay, you received a good amount for the price you pay. It just didn't smell or taste the best. It left a yucky taste in my mouth. I had to chew gum to get rid of the taste. I will not be returning. I'd rather go hungry. (Sorry)

Ordered online and unfortunately it did not go well. If you order “chicken chowmein “ be prepared to get two huge scoops of white rice and a little bit of your “chowmein” Didn’t even get a bowl of lettuce with a tiny container of dressing. So if it’s an entre I would expect to get sides of salad and rice and if it’s just chowmein, why all the rice? Paying 14.50 plus tax plus tips for two large scoops of white rice and dash of the entre is a total ripoff.

Dont order from here, food is cooked in old oil. Chicken katsu had jelly like substance on it, fried rice was soaked in oil
