It's definitely not authetic southern Mexican, but it's still good. The chicken in my quesadilla was really flavorful, but the cheese was clearly cheap shredded cheese. It's definitely tasty but not anything special.
It's hard to explain the issue with food here: food is DEAD. Doesn't project the sense of freshness. Lacks fresh vegetable. No avacado. No Coleslaw. Salsa didn't appear to have any tomatoes in it. It's likely all from canned ingredients. The nachos are great. Drinks were good.
The only thing I really miss after moving up from California is the food, and eating at Chihuahua is like being back home. Staff is always super friendly and attentive.
