Leo & Leto's Winery and Bistro is a restaurant in Freeland that offers a mix of experiences. The atmosphere is welcoming and comfortable, with live music like a wonderful jazz quartet adding to the meal. Service is friendly but not overly attentive, and the owner and staff are passionate about great food. The food receives mixed reviews. The best part of some meals were the grilled vegetables, which were not overcooked or oversalted. The burger is juicy with great flavor, though some find it very small with just 4 small potato wedges. The beef short rib is outstanding and well prepared, while the risotto is not bad, not great. The clam chowder is delectable and the pineapple margarita is perfect. The caprese is fresh and a great appetizer. Some dishes, like the beef short ribs and accompanying potatoes, can be very salty. The crab cakes seem to be made with polenta or something similarly unusual as a filler. However, the mussels are the best ever, and the jambalaya, chicken bulgogi, and beef tip gnocchi are all 10/10. The wine choices are excellent and paired well with the meal. A pleasant surprise is the Tesla EV charging at the restaurant.
