STRONGLY recommend the Downriggers. The food was incredible. The cocktails? Incredible. The service was the best. And, on top of it all, you can have a gorgeous view of the water too. We had so much food that we took it with us and had it the next day. And they even boxed it up perfectly. Definitely a great place to eat while in Friday Harbor!
Poutine was exceptional, very flavorful with just the right amount of gravy and big melted cheese curds. Nice amount of short ribs topping it off. Spouse loved the bouillibase, excellent texture, nice amount of salmon and shrimp as well. We both enjoyed the smoked salmon plate, really nice shaved red onions, as well as tasteless smoked salmon and accouterments. Great views on the water but the feedback on all the food was just ok. Clam chowder was very potato forward with little clams, and the salmon was over cooked and dry. The fish fry being from WI I was not impressed. It had a very thick batter and small pieces of cod. The fries were nothing special. Wouldn’t order either again. The spicy Mac and cheese was ok as well, salty and not a lot of other flavors. Touristy spot that had fast service but the food was not worth the...
