Cute and quaint rustic ambiance with friendly staff. The menu isn’t very big but there is a little something for everyone. We had the scallops, king salmon, and pork loin. Ended the meal with creme brûlée and key lime pie. Would definitely come back again.
Would like to give 4.5. Cute place. Sat outside which seemed like the better option. Service was responsive and server was knowledgeable. Very good wine list. Had a white blend from WA (DeLille Chaleur Blanc) that complemented the food. Westcott Bay oysters; then scallops for one entree and halibut for the other; crème brûlée for dessert; all very good. Can’t quite fathom the bad reviews.
We almost cancelled after seeing recent reviews. So glad we didn’t! It was an amazing setting with excellent food and service!
Used to be one of the best dining establishments on San Juan but would never go back after tonight’s meal. Fish entree was the worst I’ve ever had. Prepared badly, tasteless mush served lukewarm with a bunch of underwhelming sides. Looked great tasted like nothing. Friend had undercooked scallops; again barely warm. Hot fudge sundae represented with cheap chocolate sauce. Beautiful ambiance and good service but such a shame that the place to go for special occasions has become a no go. For over $250 for three people, definitely not worth it. Going home hungry and disappointed.
Our visit to this restaurant was one of the most disappointing dining experiences we’ve ever had. I ordered a fish entrée that was hot on the outside but cold in the center. The waitress was inattentive, and it took over an hour to receive any food — during which time we were only served water. When we sent the dishes back, they were clearly microwaved and still not fully warmed through. The manager’s response was shockingly unprofessional, speaking to us in a condescending manner and even suggesting that what we described couldn’t have happened. I have never been spoken to like that in a restaurant. For the price point and reputation, the lack of food quality, professionalism, and basic hospitality was unacceptable. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone.
This is a must whenever we are on the island and it never disappoints. The food is always delicious and the vibe is fun and different than everything else on the island. Highly recommend.
The food was a five star! Our meal was delicious. The food came out hot and timely. The service was a disappointing one star. Our waitress needs to learn how to read her customers. We waited an abnormal long time for her to even greet us, so we were ready to order everything when she finally came by. After our meal she asked if we would like to see the dessert menu. We did, but she did everything BUT bring the dessert menu by. I tried to get her attention multiple times but she ignored us for customers ordering wine. We ordered the dessert to go and after a ridiculous amount of time the manger dropped it off. Instead of putting the ice cream in a separate container so it would not melt, the ice cream was squished onto the hot apple crisp. Usually ice cream is in a separate container. If you try Duck Soup, be prepared for slow service.
We came here for a family dinner in March. The place was cozy and service was great. I got the scallops and it was delicious. The mussels for appetizer felt slightly undercooked though.

Read a couple of the negative reviews and I have no idea what they’re talking about.
We came here on a whim and honestly just for the clams that we saw on a google review pic. We never expected the place to look this amazing. The lighting, the ambience, the fire place we were seated directly in front of. Amazing.
Service was impeccable and beyond polite. The food was incredible. We both ordered the filet mignon which was easily 10+ ounces and perfectly cooked. Honestly one of the best filets that I’ve had. It came with potatoes and a broccoli. For the price—fantastic. We had a bottle of wine as well which paired great.
My only slight complaint is there could be some more local options for wines.
We would absolutely come here again. Especially in the summer so we could enjoy the outside fire pits. Highly recommend this “out of place” fine dining experience.

The food was amazing, the atmosphere was perfect for a romantic dinner on our weekend getaway. It is nestled in the woods on the island and feels a million miles away, yet is a short drive from our Bed and Breakfast. Make sure you make a reservation, this place is very popular.
