My husband's first job in the US was at Taylor Shellfish so we can, we take the opportunity to reminisce and shuck a few oysters. Westcott Bay has blankets to warm you as you relax by the fire outside. The oysters were fresh and we loved the oysters Rockefeller. Buy a bottle of bubble to share and cuddle up at this San Juan Island gem!
Had a great time! Staff were super friendly, they show you how to shuck the oysters and are make the process really easy. You can tell they like working with each other and talking to tourists.The main attraction, the oysters, was well worth the hype. Had a little bit of the grilled and fresh oysters and they were all spot on. Westcott Bay Shellfish Co is an absolute must-visit when you're on the island. Be sure to check their hours during the off season because it's just a few days a week. This place is amazingly rustic and charming - and since the oysters they serve are grown and harvested a few feet away - it doesn't get any fresher.
