It is always a treat to go to Wescott for a meal or to pick up oysters & mussels to go. Everyone is so friendly. You will leave with a full belly and a happy heart.

Website says closed through January.Made the trip out today, February 3, but they are still not open. Not sure when they will open, but be careful before you also make a trip out.

Westcott Bay Shellfish Co is an absolute must-visit when you're on the island. Be sure to check their hours during the off season because it's just a few days a week. This place is amazingly rustic and charming - and since the oysters they serve are grown and harvested a few feet away - it doesn't get any fresher. If you're so inclined, you can even shuck them yourself. We did a half dozen, added some bread and local goat cheese, had a few beers, and spent the rest of the time plotting how we could move to the island so we could enjoy this place year round!

My husband's first job in the US was at Taylor Shellfish so we can, we take the opportunity to reminisce and shuck a few oysters. Westcott Bay has blankets to warm you as you relax by the fire outside. The oysters were fresh and we loved the oysters Rockefeller. Buy a bottle of bubble to share and cuddle up at this San Juan Island gem!

Had a great time! Staff were super friendly, they show you how to shuck the oysters and are make the process really easy. You can tell they like working with each other and talking to tourists. The main attraction, the oysters, was well worth the hype. Had a little bit of the grilled and fresh oysters and they were all spot on. Highly recommend and will definitely be back to try other items on the menu. Also the view is spectacular on the beautiful summer day that I went. Could spend hours there but there’s a time limit and they’re usually booked solid. There’s also an adorable market that you can buy merch!

Everything was delicious - the oysters were so fresh, and the chowder was warm, creamy, flavorful, and comforting on a cold day. I ate outside, even though it was frigid. But they give you lots of warm blankets and have a fire going

I love this place, hands down. My favorite thing about Westcott Bay is the history. It's been around for such a long time so for them to turn it into a spot you can eat at is really cool. You can drive up or boat up I'd suggest getting a reservation EARLY because it fills up quickly. It's not a "real" restaurant, its a seafood market firstly. Everyone wants to visit. There is a little gift shop, a to go order area, and two areas to sit and eat. The food and drink menu is great and the obvious reason people come: the incredible oysters. You can't go wrong with these world famous delights.

A visit to Westcott bay is a must for all my visitors to the island. Everyone love the oyster farm & yummy dishes.

The oysters were good but service was slow. The umbrellas are also small and move around a lot so people in our party were exposed to a lot of sun

I came here on the recommendation of the B&B I was staying at. I don't regularly consume shellfish, but the friendly staff was helpful in guiding me through my first oyster experience, which I'm happy to report was a delicious one. This place is as farm-to-table as it gets. I ate my meal literally looking out over the shellfish farm. The view of Westcott Bay is incredible and made for a fantastic experience overall. Plus, this is a bicycle-friendly establishment.

really fun spot to stop if you’re in the island and have a preference for raw bivalves. We built a little picnic and brought our dogs. the day was perfect and the oysters were perfection. The picnic cost about $80 all up. It’s pricey, but the food and view is impeccable.

We celebrated our 24th wedding anniversary there today. Staff has always been fun & entertaining. Food was great as always!! Keep up the good work! It's our favorite place to eat!!!

Absolutely marvelous location, food and service at Wescott Bay! We enjoyed dining outdoors with a view of the bay, oyster flats and the pastoral landscape. The oysters are delicate and just the right size! We had both raw on the half shell and a few grilled as well as the tomato/stone fruit salad, piping hot baguette with butter, locally grown greens with a delightful vinaigrette and a panini.....PLUS a bottle of Washington Orcas Project Albariño.
