Happy at the Bay Teriyaki

Came around lunch time the food was amazing! Not to mention the wonderful customer service and the very funny chef. I’ve loved this place for a while and I’m glad to see that it’s still good!

Happy at the Bay still has the best teriyaki, not only in Gig harbor but in the Kitsap and Pierce County area! We continue to drive from Port Orchard to this restaurant as the quality of their food and the portions they provide are more than other restaurants provide. I love that I get to order my fried rice without any vegetables, and it is custom-made for me. Please keep up the great work and awesome food!

By far the BEST teriyaki in Gig Harbor. I recommend the General Tao or the beef short ribs! We’ve seen working our way through the menu and everything has been good.

Delicious and fresh food run by a lovely family. The katsu and chicken teriyaki keeps me coming back!

The food is still good but they are under new management and it appears prices have gone up. Kind of a bummer because this was my favorite take out place due to affordability.

The food was absolutely terrible. I've had better food at a gas station. The mango Boba tea tasted so chemically and pure sugar My kids couldn't even drink it. The Bulgogi was mixed with a vegetables and hardly any meat, The meat was old and dried out. The teriyaki chicken had much to be desired, The chicken Katsu wasn't the worst thing ever. But how hard is that to mess up? Even the salad and lettuce was old and soggy. I tried this place based on STARS, Don't let the rating fool you. The whole place smell like a hospital they were trying to hide a mess.. The lady at the counter was friendly, that was about the best thing about this restaurant.. It's really sad when you leave a restaurant and you're looking for a different restaurant to eat at right after because you couldn't choke down your food.. Would never give this place a chance again.

Really exceptional service, the owner was so sweet and helpful. The spicy ramen w gyoza was well seasoned and had tons of veggies which is always a plus. The warm soup was the perfect balm after a long day. The spicy chicken teriyaki w rice and salad was enough for two meals honestly, the chicken was tender and flavorful. I would recommend this true mom and pop joint to anyone looking for a casual and homey meal.
