A Hidden Gem for Beer Lovers: Potlatch Brewing Company
Potlatch Brewing Company is an absolute must-visit if you’re in the area and enjoy craft beer. With a rotating selection of 12 beers on tap, there’s something for every palate. I ordered a flight (see the photo for the ones I chose), and each pour had its own unique character and flavor.
One standout for me was the sour Gourd Lord—incredibly refreshing and well-balanced. I genuinely regret not picking up a few bottles to take home. And while the beer is the main attraction, don’t skip the toasted cheese sandwich. It was excellent—perfectly crispy, melty, and satisfying. I’d go back just for that.
The brewery itself is welcoming and well laid out, with plenty of indoor seating and a charming beer garden out back. If you’re curious about where the magic happens, head downstairs and check out the brewing space—it’s a cool glimpse behind the scenes.
There’s also a lot of buzz about their future plans. Rumor has it the kitchen is expanding, and construction appears to be underway for a large second-story deck that will offer gorgeous views of the water. I’m already looking forward to a return visit to see how it all comes together.
All in all, Potlatch Brewing Company delivers a great experience: excellent beer, tasty food, and a friendly, relaxing atmosphere. Highly recommended!

On my way to a golf trip we stopped in here to grab some beers and I was blown away by the quality of the beers. The bartender, who I also believe was the brewer, was very friendly. We had to stop by on our way back to take some home too, it was that good. I now stop by here every time I am driving through Hood Canal, this is a must try for any fan of craft beers.
