Amazing taste here
Some of the BEST food I’ve had in a long time. I highly recommend going. It was so good, my husband ordered more food to-go for his lunch the following day! The outside may look a little aged, but don’t judge this book by its cover! I suggest you try the chicken!

My husband had the mixed kabobs and it was superb! I had the gyro and it was tasty BUT it was missing ingredients I have come to expect in a gyro: red onions & cucumbers. I will ask them to add if I order it again. The gyro meat was plentiful and delicious.

Food is different! Looks like new owner.. Shawarma chicken and beef was not Middle East made but Mexican style lol Tomatoes sauce..?? Chicken sock is tomatoes sauce… Greek fries no salt in it… feta cheese was thrown in like they don’t have a purpose! No Middle East taste… no more milkshakes anymore too… The guy was nice tho.. Food do not recommend there anymore.. sad 😢 I use to eat there a lot… Farewell Ishtar! Peace!✌🏽 but feel free to try the other dishes I only got shawarma! Maybe the other one taste better..

I know the area isn’t great, but trust me when I say the quality of the food and service is worth it. Make a quick stop here for a shawarma or burger if you can. They gave us free lentil soup and tea with our meal.

Original review:
Good menu options from shawarma to seekh kebab. The staff is welcoming. There is always plenty of parking even on weekends.

Lowering to 3 stars. They don't seem to maintain the restaurant. Their restroom is worse than what you'd find at a train station. They also don't seem to spend any money to renovate or repair. Seats had their faux leather ripped for months without repair. Also the dining area is just dirty so I wonder what the condition would be in their kitchen. Their service has also gone down. They messed up my order multiple times.
Food is still good and because there are not a lot of choices in the area, whenever I feel the urge the eat, I usually order to-go.
Incredible food and service!!

Seen this place several times over the years but never went in. Went in today, ordered the Gyro plate. The staff was friendly, but the food was very disappointing. The meat was charred to the point of being burnt. And the portion size of meat/variety of veggies for the price was incredibly disappointing. I frequent Mediterranean restaurants with the work I do and I often pay $6 less, in Seattle mind you, for more meat and more than just cabbage/tomatoes with the salad. Not sure if I came in on the wrong day or if the other reviewers here just dont go for Mediterranean food often. Good reviews, but the absolute worst food experience I've had at a Mediterranean restaurant. Still, the staff was very friendly so I can't justify a 1 star. But with the quality of the meal I got, especially with the non competitive price, I can't justify more than 2 stars.
Looks a bit shady from the outside but the owner is really nice. Food and service is very good

best gyro I’ve had in years!
they’re an extremely small business that’s hanging on by a thread. please keep the city’s grassroot spots alive especially when they slap this hard.
