The food was good, but in the women’s restroom, as I was drying my hands after washing, an employee comes out of the stall and looks directly at me and leaves. Doesn’t wash her hands. Gross in general. I go back to my party and notice that the same employee was the one setting up and prepping the tables. I don’t really want unwashed-after-using-the-bathroom hands touching my napkins, soy sauce, plates and table. Also, I think there is a law that food employees have to wash their hands after using the bathroom? I told another waitress and she said she’d tell the manager. Afterwards I asked the manager about it and he said he would “talk to her about it later.” Personally I think that kind of issue is a sanitary and hygiene issue that should have been handled immediately. Instead the employee continued to set the tables with napkins, (that people use to wipe their mouths,) refill the soy sauce, etc. I think he could tell we were annoyed and disgusted by the response because he tried stopping us on our way out repeating over and over that he’ll “talk to her later.” The food was good but not good enough to ignore basic hygiene.
Been twice now. Food is average, nothing spectacular. You order on your phone but wait times our outrageous and sometimes you never get what you ordered. I’ve been twice and both times I’ve waited for over an hour for 1 complete order to come, just 4-5 items, nothing crazy. First time I didn’t say anything (my whole order never came), but the second time was told they are backed up in the kitchen. If this is the problem then the owner needs to cut out the phone ordering, it’s causing a backlog of orders in the kitchen which is resulting in long wait times and people not getting what they are ordering. I sat and watched on multiple occasions, 3 other tables that arrived after me get multiple orders of food before I even received one item. I also heard other people complaining about similar issues that I have had the past two visits. I love the concept, the little robot is cool, but this place could be even better.
We went to visit Sumo Japanese restaurant for the first time after church service. The food and the service were great. I highly recommend this restaurant and the robots service was a great touch.
Very cool place to eat sushi, especially when it's all you can eat. You do have 90 minutes over all. They experience is cool because of the robots that bring you you're food. Very affordable price for all you can eat.

Food was amazing, servers where super friendly and seen the robot servers was super cute.
I've seen other reviews that complained about the 90 min time limit but honestly it's more than enough time to have a nice filling meal and some conversations with friends and family.
Saw another review that complained about the rules and how they charge you for waste food per pound, it isn't that hard they tell you right away before they serve you all of the rules, if you don't like them you aren't forced to eat there.
All and all the restaurant is awesome, food was great and service was friendly, $30 per person for all the food you can have is not bad compared to other sushi restaurants.
Definitely will make this a favorite spot.

They have these cute robots that deliver the orders and it's so cute when they sing you happy birthday. The sushi is very good although too many of them have cream cheese in them.
Dietary restrictions: They can make anything special made.
Kid-friendliness: My kids love this place and they have a great selection even my pickiest eater is satisfied with.
Wheelchair accessibility: Yes, it is wheelchair accessible. There is a ramp straight to the door.

Place your order with QR code.
There was a salad bar, and it was nice to be able to taste warm miso soup. The Tacoma branch had cucumber soup, but it was a shame that it wasn't there. I don't know if it was the only day they didn't have it.
The chicken karaage was really crispy and delicious.
The curry that came with the chicken cutlet was good and tasted like home cooking.
(I just wanted to ask for curry)
I like fried food, so I am satisfied overall, and I also eat rolls and white rice as much as I want.
I wanted to show children that robots serve food. I was amazed
The female employee was friendly too, but I didn't see her name.
There were a lot of employees, and some people were eating alone.
Ice cream is also free :)

This was our first time to sumo and our family was stuck on how to order, however our server waiter Devin was thoughtful and took his time on how to order with the QR code, he was fast and made sure that we were able to order everything. He helped refilled our drinks without needing to ask him, most likely will ask him for next time.

I went to Sumo, and I didn’t know what to say about it. But as soon as I came in it was the best. I had Ellie as my server, and she was the sweetest. I will recommend coming here.

Had a great dinner at sumo. The food was tasty with lots of options. Devin and Ellie took great care of us and made the experience smooth. We’ll definitely be back next time.

Great food at a very reasonable price 29.99 per person. Items arrived very quick. One thing to note that I wasn't told initially, you can only order 15 items for the entire table every 15 minutes.

Been here before and this time felt to review. Previously on multiple visits items have been missing or added that I did not order. Today after ordering , 35 minutes go by before I call someone to ask about it . I show them my phone and go back to show them I ordered and my order number. They never once say sorry for the system error. I finally get food another 10 minutes later. never once did they admit fault.
This was our first time at this restaurant. Neither the server nor the person who checked us in explained us about ‘all you can eat sushi’ concept.
The server just kept telling that ‘any to go food is charged’. When asked follow up questions, he bluntly responded saying ‘I don’t understand what you are asking’ and walked away.
We just ordered 2 small sushi plates as we weren’t hungry. When our server came with a cheque (of almost $70) he explained us the concept of this place and said you could have ordered more, it’s almost $30 per person and you may eat unlimited. He said that the kitchen was closed for the day.
Highly disappointed with the service!

Food was great I recommend getting dinner for $30 ( lunch $20) for $10 more you can order everything on the menu including sashimi , Sushi and unagi don.
I like sumo roll the most also the fried oyster. You can order up to 10 items for 15 minutes, then you can order more every 15 minutes ( up to 90 minutes) which plenty of time.
The salad bar that you can get yourself included miso soup, calamari, edamame etc.
I still think it's best deal for all you can eat Sushi if you are Sushi lover
