“The team at Deep Sea Sugar & Salt went above and beyond for our wedding cakes, and they truly ended up being one of the highlights of our night. Not only did our guests rave about them, but even our vendors couldn’t stop talking about how delicious they were.

Kim, Kelly, Kinsley (and the rest of the incredible team) were so kind, thoughtful, and accommodating. Since we had to bring our cakes to the San Juan Islands, they partially froze them to ensure they traveled well and even arranged for an early pickup so we could make our ferry — that kind of attention to detail and care was so appreciated.

And the cakes themselves? Absolutely stunning and unbelievably good. The carrot pineapple cake was my personal favorite and ended up being a huge hit with our guests. Every flavor we chose was beautiful to look at and even better to eat.

“As a serious hobbyist baker myself I am very particular about cake but this is some of the best cake around. We went with a small cutting cake and 4 different mini cupcakes. The only thing I knew about the design I wanted was that it NOT be fondant. They worked with us to get to what we liked but then a couple of days before they called to confirm which shade of blue we wanted and came up with a brilliant idea of how to make it really pretty. We were wowed. However, I should say, what really sets them apart is their frosting. Just the best frosting I have EVER had.“

“The MARGARITA cupcake was a masterpiece, and quite possibly the best cupcake i will ever eat. The cake part, which was lemon flavor, was the perfect physical equivalent of the image that appears in my mind when I think of a cupcake - light, soft, airy, delicious - like eating a cloud that was turned into cake! The icing was the perfect, sweet, thick complement to this, with the perfect amount of sweetness (not TOO much).
