I've been to Izumi many times, and I've been to many restaurants in Japan (many times). Izumi is an excellent Japanese restaurant in terms of quality -- best in the US that I've seen, and better than many in Japan.
It's been over 15 years since I've had a Saba dish and oh my goodness, it's as delicious as I remembered it. The atmosphere is very pleasant. My parents and I are convinced the commutes from our drives is well worth it. We'll be returning again soon with satisfied bellies!
It tasted good, but the price was too expensive compared to other places. As soon as the meal was over, the servers kept putting away the dishes and felt pressured. It wasn't full of customers or standing in line. At this price, I will go to Bellevue or Seattle Downtown.
