Great Mexican spot in Kirkland area! I am there for the Margs, Guac and Carne Asada. My boyfriend recently moved to the area and I was a little skeptical because I am Mexican and live in LA so I have a high expectation for good Mexican food. I have to say I was impressed and will be returning! My bf ordered the Carne Asada plate and the yuca mash potatoes are delish!I ordered the grilled shrimp which were on the sweeter side but good. I could say I am a little thrown off by the bad mixed reviews. Just a tip for people who were not impressed or haven't gone yet don't go to a Mexican restaurant and order Ribs, and expect them to be amazing get something Authentic. :)

You will wait and wait and wait and wait for everything. Sat outside on patio, took 25 minutes to get our check. No one acknowledged our attempts to get it (waving arms, almost yelling). Had to keep waiting and asking for virtually every little detail of our meal. All the staff either hang out at the bar inside, yes drinking, or outside smoking. Management really needs to observe and correct the people that work there, or perhaps they're part of the problem. Oh yes, food is OK, nothing special, but nothing bad.

Went for lunch and the food and service were outstanding. Sat outside on the patio under the heater as it was a chilly day but the ambience was nice. One warning their portions are large so go easy on the ordering.

Great Mexican spot in downtown Kirkland. Very good Margarita's and solid selection of Mexican beer. The patio is a great spot, both shady and sunny tables. Nice bar and freindly bartenders. The food is nice and simple. Homemade tortillas make all the tacos and burritos very tasty. Not my first choice for good Mexican food in Kirkland but not a bad 3rd choice.

Has a nice outdoor area with great potential for being a cool place. Unfortunately service and drinks are well subpar. I ordered a frozen margarita and it came out two third filled and half melted. I asked the waiter if that is how it's supposed to be for a $10 drink, and he said yes. Another waiter dropped half of the food on my son. He promised to bring out refill but that never came.

Average restaurant. our server was nice and friendly, but the establishment refused to turn on the fireplace for us. Finally they said they would do it after we complained that it was getting cold outside, but when they went to light it, it didn't turn on at all. Drinks are overpriced. $11 for a shot of Tequila at a Mexican restaurant on a late Sunday evening is absurd. Then again, what would you expect from Kirkland in this area. We ordered chicken nacho's that were ok. The chicken had a good flavor, but there wasn't enough meat to justify the price we paid for them. I would probably only return here for the $5 Margarita's during happy hour.

I love to travel and have tried street, authentic, and fusion foods. At the end of the day- it's the freshness and balanced flavor that makes it memorable for me. And I can definitely say that for Papi's Cantina. The margarita was perfectly mixed, I was already happy with just one but ordered another one-- even happier! Service is fantastic. My new favorite restaurant in Kirkland!

Want some Mexican food with a good pleasant vibe!? This is the place to go :) I love their Enchiladas and they have some good vehicles options too!

Disappointing. We noticed the patio and love Mexican food so this seemed like a good choice. We were approached fairly quickly and our drink order was taken. The drinks arrived with complimentary chips and dip and then our food order was taken. The salsa was pretty good and we would have liked more but it must be one bowl per table because our server did not offer a refill and we literally did not see her again until she brought the bill. The food took longer than normal to arrive, but we were enjoying the lovely day on the patio so that was okay. A different server brought out our food. I ordered taquitos and my dinner mate ordered a burrito. Neither came out particularly warm so I assume they were sitting for awhile. Again I would have liked sour cream or salsa for my taquitos instead of the verde it came with, but where was our server? So here's the math : no offer to refill salsa + no checking on how our food was + never checking on whether we wanted another drink + luke warm food= not coming back.

Delicious food, good drinks and reasonable prices for the area.

Best tacos al pastor I've been able to find in the PNW

Great patio and even better music but -1 star for substandard margaritas. The Margaritas were only $5 so I shouldn't complain but even for 5 bucks they should not make you make the gas face...
