Food was good, not great. Priced appropriately. Service was good, I think we had a staff member in training. They were kind and accommodating, had to ask for check twice. I would go back.

I hate to call someone racist, but one of the waitresses — the taller one — repeatedly pretended not to see our request while acknowledging white customers. When she finally saw us she told us to wait using her finger, then leaned on a table and turned her back. It was unbelievable. Kudos to another waitress with tattoos, who gave us much better service in the end.

Great sushi, rice is well done, chefs are very accommodating. All you can eat has a good selection to choose from.

I have come here several times with family & friends before but this time was just not it. The food & service were nothing like I remembered. The 2 server girls that were on shift seemed to be more interested in their own conversation than actually doing their job. As a server myself I understand that some places are more free with the dress code but I felt a little uncomfortable being served by someone in a mini skirt in such a restaurant. Furthermore, the 2 servers displayed attitude in FOH when they did not get the tip they were looking for. Extremely unprofessional. Not sure if I will be coming back here, which is disappointing because I used to always recommend it to my friends.

I love the atmosphere and the service is great, but restaurants are ultimately about the food and the quality here has gone downhill compared to five years ago.

Solid sushi spot on Kirkland. They have a happy hour menu along with the regular menu. The food and drinks were delicious. The sushi rolls were fairly large and filling. We enjoyed this restaurant so much.

I tried Kiwami takeout today and was disappointed. The tuna on the rainbow roll had the iridescent sheen you get on old, spoiled meat or fish.
The gorilla roll had shrimp tempura in it. While the shrimp was warm, the seaweed around it was thick and rubbery so it seems this section might have been microwaved to heat up the shrimp. The seaweed section was the chewiest I have ever encountered in a roll.
Raw fish on a sushi roll should be cold (or cool) if freshly made. This was room temperature which raises concerns about food handling and safety.
Two servers were at the front desk texting/reading their phones when I entered. Not a good look. There is ALWAYS something to be done in a restaurant especially as there were about 6 tables occupied when I was there.
I'll not return.

They lost their best chef and suddenly the sushi “rolls” are a mess.
Falling apart - just blobs of fish and rice.
We’ve been coming here for a long time, so the dramatic change is quite disappointing.
Thankfully, the same servers / Assistant Manager is still there providing excellent service!
Need the old chef back!

Food quality has really gotten worse over the last year. Rolls are bland and portions seem smaller. Servers are great. But it seems like kitchen/ sushi chefs are really are not up to speed. Going to be looking for a new place to get my weekly sushi fix.
we come here every time we’re visiting the area and their sushi is rlyyy good i rly recommend the snow crab california roll and the fried tofu roll
Restaurantji Recommends
LOVE coming here with my partner for a casual and relaxed lunch, the atmosphere is very friendly and the servers are great. we came in on a weekday for an early lunch and got two Kiwami Bentos and it was unlike any other bento i've gotten. i dont have photos, but it was a beautiful tray of dishes, all perfectly portioned. miso soup, salad, rice, tempura veg and shrimp, and a delicious teriyaki salmon, and a small selection of nigiri with some california rolls. we also got the kiwami crunch on the side. the portions had us conpletely full, and we cleared every dish we had. lovely hole in the wall location if you want the experience of going to a small sushi restaurant! they removed the booths and the space is a lot more light because of it.
we've also been here at happy hour, and its 2000% worth it, great selection of the menu avaliable and at an awesome price.
Good place to eat, would recommend
This is our family favorite sushi in DT Kirkland! Authentic & contemporary; whatever you prefer! Also has great staff! They recently got a facelift inside which adds to the atmosphere.
Delicious, fresh, and high-quality sushi. I'll always come back. Thankful to have found this place.
I’ve visited KIWAMI several times over the years and the food and service have always been consistently good. It’s a small place though and can get quite busy, so be prepared to have to wait for a table during peak hours. Worth the wait though!!
