Wonderful food, excellent cocktails, and service was very nice as well. We've been many times and it's always consistent and delicious. Can get a little loud inside but overall an excellent restaurant that I greatly enjoy!

Service was excellent! The bolognese is beyond delicious, and you can request a GF/DF option over spaghetti squash. Wild boar and the red wine from Bulgaria, Italia were also amazing!

Certainly would like to go back and try more items from the menu. It was hard to choose my meal as there were several entrees I was interested in. Wine selection was large, asparagus was cooked perfectly, and the staff was wonderful.

This is my first visit to Volterra and I was very pleasantly surprised. The server was prompt, helpful with wine selections and professional. The food was excellent. I had Duck and the portion was far more that I could eat and priced at $40. My spouse had Chicken Pesto, which was a special. It was only $30, very tasty and generous amount. Volterra goes to the top of our Kirkland restaurant list.

It's a wonderful place to eat! Sometimes we do Happy Hours and on special occasions, we dine in the main restaurant which is more crowded and noisy. We highly recommend Volterra.

Service and ambience was good. They had bread and olive oil when you sit down. Mushroom risotto and the clam with sausage were delicious. The duck I ordered was tough. I gave up on the dish after chewing three small pieces of it. I ordered The warm chocolate cake for dessert, hoping it would make up for the disappointing entree. The cake wasn't warm as described on the menu. Another let down. I had high expectations after reading the reviews. I was still hungry when I left.

We had not been to Volterra since Covid and was now remember why we liked it. The clams and sausage appetizer was amazing as were my eggplant pillows. Not to mention Steve our waiter . He is the longest tenured employee and what a treasure. We will be sure to request him the next time we go, which will be very soon!!!!

Just had dinner there again on January 26th 2024. We arrived at 4:45 pm and needed to leave by 6:10 pm to go to a kraken hockey game. Our entries did not show up till 6:10pm +. We did not have time to eat and left our entries on the table. The manager was worthless! All she did was argue with us blaming us for not informing the waiter we were short on time. All the manager did was argue with us.

it was wonderful. We were able to start with happy hour and go into dinner. The food was exceptional. Chase, our server was very knowledgeable about the menu and wine, and a lot of fun!

I met 2 friends for an early dinner. The waiter was attentive and professional, but not overly present. I had the mushroom risotto, which was very tasty. The room is noisy but we were able to carry on a conversation without much strain. All in all, a peasant evening.

Pretentious...Nestled in downtown Kirkland, open kitchen, white linen tablecloth, large 1 paged menu, and separate specials menu, Yada Yada, Yada. It goes downhill from there yet entertaining. We came to celebrate a friend's birthday, his choice of venue. We get there, cozy enough of a joint, almost full restaurant, and definitely a full bar.Our waiter comes by and in a very loud voice. Maybe he's used to senior citizens? Maybe because I have mostly "frosted" hair, as do my dinner guest, announces that he would be taking care of us tonight. He then, for whatever reason, stampers that he's got a " Brain fart." as he forgets his train of thought.Underwhelmed, we order drinks, and while we're enjoying the company and delicious bread, a patron from the corner of the bar nearest me begins to stumble out.I initially thought he might have been an ADA individual but, upon further review, realized that he was horribly intoxicated.I had to press all the way into my table to allow him to pass by. When he brushes by the now deemed "server," he almost fell and had to use a nearby cocktail table to hold himself up.A very slight female goes to his aid, and as I ask the server, "Shouldn't you go help the individual," he calmly states, "No, she's the manager." Hold the applause...The manager helps the wretched soul out into frigid, 22 degree night, then comes immediately back in.The server comments, " Boy! Someone's going to make another $400 night!" We were perplexed. He then explains, "When he 'hurls' in the Uber, the driver will charge the additional fee!"At that point, I thought perhaps we deserved the additional $400 for him "hurling" this additional unnecessary banter. The meal arrived, nothing to scream about. Standard fare, overly salted bolonese with a creamy tomato sauce. I should have read the fine print. The birthday guy had the same but gluten free, partner had the lobster risotto, which she enjoyed, and our fourth had the wild boar.Long winded... What started out to be a great dining experience in celebration of our friends double nickle birthday turned out to be a fun night out enjoying each other's company. No photos. Who wants to see pictures of creamy tomato blahs? I did think the plating for the wild boar was nice!

Dinner took over 2 hours. Table next to us was seated after us, ordered roughly the same dishes, and was finished 40 minutes before us. Restaurant was apparently short one server, but same person served the table next to us. Likely lost the order somewhere along the line. We were comped one dessert on a $550+ bill.
