“This is where we go to have a quintessential new wine tasting experience! It is destination. In little LaConner, before or after one of its great restaurants or after some shopping. We grab a fresh charcuterie board or have even brought some food from outside restaurants to the back outside deck over the channel-perfect on a sunny day any time of year. We meet friends or take friends. Jeff Hellam is a great host and knows wine. We belong to the wine club and pick up our wine when we stop in. Always happy we have visited.“
“We were looking for a place to relax and unwind after a day of travel and were so glad we found Sips! The place was cute and comfortable inside and had outside seating on the water, complete with blankets for the evening chill. There was a nice selection of wine and small plates (we had the hummus plate which was excellent), our server was quick and friendly, and we all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and plan on going back the next time we are in the area. And a special shout-out to the owner and staff for helping reconnect us with a lost item after hours - wonderful people at a wonderful place!“
“As humans, we are spoiled with usually a large portioned meal with ok quality. At the thistle, you get to experience a smaller portion but the fusion rainbow of delectable tastes, wonderful aromas and savory experiences will have you making another rsvp before you are finishing their tantalizing desserts.Enjoy, Capt. “
“This place, for years, has been consistently five stars in my book. Love their pizza and Caesar! We recently got married in La Conner and stayed at the La Conner Country Inn and we needed to order 6 pizzas and 2 Caesar salads for all the grandchildren so all of the Adults could enjoy a fine dining experience while the young ones were being babysat——they were spot with their service and the kids were happy campers!“
“It was very busy and quite crowded when I ate lunch here, ven though it was well past the noon hour. The waitresses were obviously stressed. I suspect the service would be better at other timesThe food was good.Vegetarian options: There is a nice selection of vegetarian options. You need to look for them throughout the menuParking: Good luck finding a parking spot. Be prepared to walk a good distance. There is a handicapped loading and unloading zone if one of your party is mobility impaired“
“I highly recommend checking out this factory to get some delicious locally sourced ice cream. They support local farms, and have some really good flavors. I have tried the Salted Caramel, Coffee Toffee, and this visit, I got the Lavender Vanilla and Coconut. Sooo good. They have seating both indoors and out and have a bathroom. The sell items like t-shirts and hats, and you can get some ice cream to-go also. Enjoy! I will be back!“
“First of all, this is the cutest cafe in Anacortes and the people who work here are *the best*. The truly amazing thing is that they have taken the perfect food (grilled cheese) and improved it (spicy tomato jam) to create a culinary masterpiece that comforts and delights. 10/10, get the grilled cheese.“
“Food was well prepared. We tried the lasagna, Philly cheese steak and ahi tuna. All tasted spot on the lasagna was in roll form and not the traditional layered version but still very good. Friendly staff and cramped seating because of the popularity of this establishment. Good wine list, mostly PNW and California. Good pour on the single glasses. Need reservations! Service at peak was a bit slow and spotty. Ambiance was casual and noisy w/ o background music. This is a relatively new comer to the area and less than 2 years but will likely last a long time. Moderate to high prices. Parking was street only and tight. Try it you'll like it“
“Bar none the best part of our outing to Anacortes today! Enjoyed a great Turkish coffee, was introduced by Zaza to his pistacia drink with rose syrup which was delicious and PERFECT for this blustery day!! We also splurged on some of his amazing assorted baklava and Turkish delight and OMG the baklava (and y'all I don't even like this in most situations, but this was heaven-sent). Zaza is a bright spot in Anacortes and it was lovely to meet him - we are looking forward to returning when his brick and mortar cafe is up and running as we know it'll be a lovely spot for everyone in the Skagit Valley to come hang out :)“
“LET ME TELL YOU! Those meat pies slap! I at them in seconds. I was able to call ahead and order everything that I wanted. I got the dumplings, fried noodles, and meat pies. Everything was good. But those meat pies were EVERYTHING. I'm drooling thinking about them?“
“The mango mousse is SO GOOD. I had half a mind to just buy several of them and take them home. The pistachio dessert is also one of a kind! Mouth watering food and exceptional service. The server was so kind. And helpful when choosing food as they had so many options!Other things about it: A decent amount of seating not too much, really cool atmosphere with the frida theme. Definitely NOT budget friendly. Lots of street parking.“
“Plenty of awesome beers in the PNW. Wanted a local IPA and Bastion came through. Great selection, easy laid back indoor/outdoor seating, and a smiling beer tender did the trick. After a couple of samples, we latched onto a 20 oz glass of goodness. Service: 5 out of 5 Seating: 5 out of 5 Beer: 5 out of 5 Overall value and experience: 5 out of 5 Didn’t eat this time but had some really interesting things on the menu. Cheers!!“
“This place is an absolute gem. You can't and won't go wrong with anything here. The bottle shop inside also has an amazing curration of wilds, sours, lambics, ciders, and wines from around the world (at fair prices)!. The environment is very welcoming and relaxing. Everytime I'm here, I have a beer that I find impressive, and sometimes I meet nice doggos“
“Our most favorite and go to restaurant near where we live. Funky setting, super casual. Wes the chef and owner makes the best burgers on the weekend. Taco Tuesday is a must visit. Prices very reasonable Kari is the bestest waitress. Her carrot cake is nirvana Zoe and Liz work less often but are nonetheless outstanding Give the Rex a try“
“I usually like my coffees from y'all. But on March 16th2024, my mom and I came and got our usual 16,oz mocha breve, 1 is a regular mocha breve add whip double cupped and no straws.and the other one is a 16oz mocha breve white chocolate and hazel nut, and like I said I'm very disappointed ?“
“Close to the dedicated Guermes ferry, with a panoramic view of Anacortes and its ship yards.Well shaped sandwich and burger menu, as well as soups and salads, with a beautiful outside garden. My "ancient grains" vegeburger came in a home baked bun with hand cut fries, the burger was crunchy and very tasty. I also chose a Chukanut Pilsner for the perfect end of summer lunch.Fun place to go, leave time for exploring this small island.“
“We have been eyeballing this place for years saying we need to try it someday. We finally did and we are sad we never made it in sooner. The food was absolutely incredible and the waitress April is an amazing asset to this establishment. We will be back soon! You will not be sorry you went!Kid-friendliness: My daughter is 12. I did see another kid in there quite a bit younger than her.“
“Lady working the counter is pleasant. Ordered deep fried oysters (which came with fries) and chowder in the bread bowl. I was blown away by the size of the oysters and the quality of fries. Bread was soft enough to rip apart after finishing the chowder. I would go back again to try the “
“Great food, awesome beer, fun atmosphere. We went on karaoke night and fully enjoyed watching people belt their hearts out. Our kids were not only welcome but encouraged to dance and have fun. It was really fun and we all left full and happy.“
“The chicken special on the menu was SO delicious! Very messy to eat but worth it. The lovely waitress we had, I wish I could remember her name. She was so friendly and a great server! I loved the quick zodiac chat we had!The surprise trivia night we weren't expecting made for a fun evening for my traveling partner and I!“
“New Owners are fantastic, have tons of character and seem like old friends! One of the few places I can find LaColombe coffee. Live Music and local art elevates the shop to “Salon Culture”! I’m a small town with many coffee shops, this is the standout.“
