As much as I love honey bear because of how nice their staff is, the food is a huge hit or miss, especially with desserts. Most of the savory items are bound to be good, but most pastries end up being bland or stale, which is a bummer. Great place for lunch and drinks, but not much else.
One year ago, my wife and I ordered a chocolate cake for our wedding and somehow had not specified a white frosting. The day of the wedding, when my wife and I saw the dark frosting realized what had happened, the staff at Honey Bear went above and beyond, remaking our cake before the wedding. Not only was the team super accommodating but the cake was delicious and a hit at the reception!
I love the baked goods, especially the strawberry scones and orange pecan twists but there sandwich are great too. The cake slices are a fun splurge too and they have good tea and coffee.
