I recently had the pleasure of dining at Sushi Nawi in Lakewood, and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The ambiance is inviting and modern, creating a perfect setting for a relaxing meal. The staff is incredibly attentive and knowledgeable, making sure every need is met promptly.
The sushi itself is absolutely top-notch. The fish is incredibly fresh, and the presentation is both artistic and appetizing. I highly recommend trying their signature rolls, especially the Dragon Roll and the Spicy Tuna Roll—they are bursting with flavor and perfectly balanced. The miso soup and tempura appetizers are also delightful and set the stage for the main course beautifully.
Overall, Sushi Nawi offers a dining experience that is both memorable and satisfying. Whether you're a sushi connoisseur or new to the cuisine, this restaurant is a must-visit for its quality, service, and atmosphere.

I came across this place looking for sushi platters and this was our pick! I called 30 min before close thinking it was worth a shot and they took our order for pick up. Very willing and friendly no hesitation. I got lost and gps was confusing so I called them for directions and they guided me right to them, which is inside the market. Knowing now. Super friendly and they gave us a birthday discount! The food was amazing. Highly recommend!

Sushi Niwa is located inside the food court of Pal-Do World Market Korean Grocery. They have good deals on rolls (two for $22.99 with two miso soups). I tried:
baked salmon roll ($13.99 by itself)
orange blossom roll ($13.99 by itself)
Baked salmon roll was really good, the salmon itself melted in my mouth.

We were celebrating today (June 20th) and the gal working at Sushi Niwa went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. She was so sweet, personable and hospitable. I wish I would have got her name. I hope her employer sees this post. The sushi was great but your staff’s customer service really made the experience so fun. We will be back for sure.

Accidental find... in the middle of an Asian supermarket.... Sushi was super fresh and delicious, the two at the counter were super nice.... explained everything in detail, ingredients, composition, etc. Price is totally fair and cheaper than in andet restaurants a top address for sushi in Tacoma. Clear recommendation.

The food here use to be really great, especially the Karaage chicken but the quality has dropped significantly. Workers are still nice and great but the taste isn't there anymore.

Great food! We tried the Godzilla Roll (it was so huge), Spicy Chicken Karaage, and Eel Nigiri and everything was super fresh and delicious. Portions were huge and we were able to take some home for leftovers.
This is the only place I go for sushi. It's high quality and the best I've ever eaten!

All these reviews had me so excited. It was fine, but nothing to write home about. The spicy karaage was good, with a sweet heat, but the sushi rolls were average. The miso soup and salad were also average. My biggest complaint is the chopsticks- they were terrible quality. The prices were really confusing, but the staff were nice at least.
