Searching online, I discovered this restaurant and took the chance to try it. I tried Maple BBQ Chicken Crepe, Chicken Carbonara Crepe and Hojicha Milk Tea. My expectations were high but it turned out to be quite disappointing. In my opinion, the prices are a bit higher than the quality of the food and drink. The food was average but didn't suit me. One was a bit sweet and the other was too salty for me. Milk tea and boba were a no no.
Japanica is a gem of a restaurant in South Whidbey!
The fish is high quality, fresh and offered in tasty bowls with tasty veggies and rice. The dessert crepes are delicious. Great wine and sake list with beautiful decor! We dine all over the world and are thrilled to have this place so close to home.

Merriweather Creperie & Japonica are the new destination to dine on Whidbey Island. Delicious! Quality! Savory or Sweet Satisfying! Cute and comfortable setting. My chicken carbonara crepe was excellent. Poke bowls - excellent! Award winning, cult following, sushi in the evenings. If you're visiting or a resident, make the journey to SR 525 and Bayview Rd, you will enjoy food and ambience that are worthy of your $. See you there!
