Delicious and friendly! Enjoyed a housemade poke bowl and ube crepe on their sunny porch, will be back again.
Enjoyed excellent brunch with friends at Merriweather Creperie. A common bacon, egg, cheese crepe was made delicious with seasonings and a kalamata olive tapenade. Highly recommended treat.
A creperie in a Japanese restaurant??? It works! The crepes offering is amazing! We’ve tried both breakfast and lunch, sweet and savory and everything we’ve had was delicious and beautifully presented.

Japonica Diner, also known as Merriweather Creperie, is a great addition to South Whidbey. The restaurant offers wonderful and delicious food with an amazing crepe offering, including both sweet and savory breakfast and lunch options. Dishes like the common bacon, egg, and cheese crepe, the Twangy poke bowl, and the hamachi sashimi bowl are highly recommended. The food is perfectly fresh, beautifully presented, and tastes excellent. The staff is friendly, charming, supportive, and knowledgeable. The easy location provides simple elegance with an attractive dining room, a pretty bar, and nice indoor and outdoor seating. On certain nights, live music near the restaurant can be heard from the outdoor area. It is a great dining experience and a treat.
