The Kingfisher Restaurant & Wine Bar offers a beautiful and serene setting, with gorgeous trees on the property and easy access to the nearby town of Leavenworth. Located on the grounds of the Sleeping Lady Resort, the restaurant can be a bit hard to find due to the parking area being several hundred feet away and a lack of directional signs. The rooms are simple, quiet, and clean, equipped with refrigerators, hot pots, and microwaves. While the Kingfisher restaurant was only open for Thanksgiving, the on-site O'Grady's was available throughout the stay. The menu may be short during the off-season, but the food has received praise, with dishes like the brisket sandwich being described as incredibly tender and delicious. Guests can enjoy the hot tub, which is clean and perfectly heated, as well as the activity barn with a tennis table, foosball table, and pool table. The location is ideal, just a 7-minute drive from downtown Leavenworth, providing a peaceful escape while still being close to the town's attractions. The backdrop of the Cascade Mountains adds to the stunning atmosphere, making it a recommended alternative to in-town dining options.
