Photos just don’t do this place justice. The salmon chowder with garlic cheese bread and a little blue cheese sprinkled on top, and a good smoked chicken Cobb salad, along with a couple of Mai Tai’s… doesn’t get it any better than this! The salmon chowder is amazing. Very chunky and full of large chunks of salmon, AMAZING, again.
Hop N Grape in Longview is a fantastic local spot with an amazing selection and a welcoming atmosphere. The staff is knowledgeable, friendly, and always willing to help you find exactly what you’re looking for, whether it’s craft beer, wine, or specialty drinks. The store is clean, organized, and stocked with a great variety of local and hard-to-find options. Their BBQ is absolutely delicious too — flavorful, fresh, and some of the best comfort food around. I had their smoked pastrami rubin sandwich last night and it was delicious. The pastrami was on par with Katz Deli, the sour kraut was great and the dressing did not overwhelm the flavors. This may be the best rubin I have had on the West Coast. Just walking in the front door is a wonderful experience.
