Hands down some of the best food I’ve had. Definitely the best I’ve had on the island and very fairly priced for what you get. It was the owners cooking tonight and I was pleasantly surprised. My steak was cooked perfectly to my asking of medium rare, the asparagus was the way it should be, rice pilot was well seasoned. And truffle fries to boot with extra crispy fries.

This place has been on my radar for a while now and I was legitimately blown away. Service was friendly but not invasive, food was intentional and well above the quality of anything on the island, and their local sourcing program deserves recognition. They strike the perfect balance of quality bistro eats with casual, relaxed island vibes. Yum.

Back in September, my (now) husband and I went on our honeymoon to the San Juan Islands and happened to be staying on Lopez in a cottage AirBnB just a five minute walk from this place.A lovely Lopez Island Museum employee/volunteer recommended the spot and we decided to follow through and check it out.We were both SO glad we did. He had a burger and fries and I had salmon with squash, zucchini, and rice. It was some of the best salmon I’d had in my entire life. Cooked to perfection. The vegetables were also done flawlessly; I rarely save the vegetables for last (I eat least favorite to favorite), but it was competing pretty close with the salmon.His burger was also amazing and the fries? No notes.Their wine, cider, and beer choices were top tier, too.They also comp-ed our dessert because it was our honeymoon (which was beyond sweet of them) and the overall service was impeccable. Sunny really lives up to their name. A big ray of sunshine.EAT HERE. You’ll be 200% satisfied.

We had an incredible brunch at the Blue Heron Bistro! The white sangria and hot toddy's were incredible! The food was amazing, so flavorful and fresh. The staff were exceptional! We enjoyed a cozy afternoon over a meal and bevvies, and even enjoyed the sunny back patio. Will absolutely go again!

Ho hum meal on Sunday night. Wanted oysters or mussels were told they had run out of these...had poor quality fish and chips. Heavy on breading minimum on the fish. Got bill and was astonished to find out they added 3% because I paid with a credit card. I have NEVER had this happen in a restaurant. Plus gave a 20% tip and it was on total bill including the tax! Tip should be on bill NOT on the tax! Very disappointed felt they were ripping of customers.

Every server was rushed even with few tables. The guy with the glasses was really rude and bad tempered. Absolutely NOT kid friendly place. This staff needs training asap. Food was alright.
