Cute bakery
I'm first generation Dutch.....
Was exited to try this place out on our way to Canada.
nothing they bake is made like in NL here unfortunately .
Way to much sugar in the pei, no raisins, no spice.... disappointed in a over 100 years old 'Dutch' bakery.
Not customer friendly
no bathroom for customers.
They would only sell us a whole apple pie instead of a slice
Not at all a traditional Dutch apple pie! We're hoping to drop the rest of at the homeless shelter. To expensive to just throw the rest away.
Avenue bread across the street is way more friendly and has better stuff

Curious as to what why the raisin bun recipe was changed. The buns are now larger and drier with only a couple raisins per bun. I have enjoyed these my whole life but this last purchase was not enjoyable at all. With the higher prices for six buns I expect at least the same quality.

I love this place. But, The price of a pastry, cookie, etc. 8 to 10 dollars, now way above my budget.🫤

We love the Dutch Bakery! It’s always our favorite spot to grab coffee or a treat..ollibollen is my favorite. They are also a great spot to order trays of treats for events or large gatherings. Super friendly staff, easy to work with and responsive to inquiries.

Horrible service, high prices and mediocre pastries for a place claiming to have 100+ years of experience . The only connection to coffee is the name.... Will not visit again...stay away from a vain brand

I mainly review based on food quality and in the case of Lynden Dutch Bakery, it reminds me of Mr. Darcy from Pride and Prejudice, where he was initially filled with pride. Not the good kind. The kind that turned people away. While the bakery has been around for decades and is charmed with all kinds of history, it has been filled by pride of knowing that it’s not going anywhere, which means that they think that they can go for another decade or two or three without correcting their ingredients and the softness of their cupcakes or cookies. I have 2 lunches with my good friends and both experiences led me to believe that all their dessert items are either too sweet, hard, or just extremely dense. Maybe it’s not my cup of tea. But am I one too many or am I one of many? I think others agree with me based on the reviews.
Update: I gave it 1 more star as the new owners seem attentive. Thank you.

We always love our visits. There are so many tasty treats it's hard to narrow down our choices. At Razzfest we loved their prepped sandwiches lunches, they were so handy!

I love the Lynden Dutch Bakery. Recently, they decided to downsize to one bakery from two. It has made all the difference. This has allowed a concerted effort to bring a wider variety. I especially love their muffins, my favorite being the raspberry cream cheese. The staff are always friendly and helpful. And this holiday season, the bakery had the most delicious treats, including traditional Dutch favorites. The beautifully frosted and decorated Dutch butter cookies were a hit at the Lighted Christmas Parade with a delicious with a cup.of cocoa. Give this bakery a try. It is small but it is a locally owned small business, serving fresh homemade delights.

In town visiting from Canada and read the iffy reviews about this bakery, but decided to give it a shot anyway. We came especially for donuts only to find out there're no donuts on Sundays or Mondays--no problem; we decided to try the vanilla Christmas tree cupcakes instead, but my boys couldn't even finish them they were so hard / stale. I see that this owner responds to all Google reviews here, but I'm curious why he/she continues to ignore all the negative feedback about freshness and not actually address the quality issues. If you are consistently selling stale, poor-quality products, you will eventually have no one to sell to...it's a sure way to wind up out of business. I love visiting and supporting local shops on all my travels, but sadly, I would not recommend this bakery.

Pastries are good, but it’s not great for families as they won’t let kids use the bathroom.
