Was looking for a quick bite before heading to the bar nearby and was very pleasantly surprised to find this hole in the wall teriyaki spot. The whole restaurant looks clean and the food smelled appetizing the second you walk in. The staff is friendly and patient. Today I ordered the Ichi Chicken Bento Meal and for $18 you get Gyoza, California rolls, A good serving of teriyaki chicken , white rice and a salad. Very filling and hit the spot. Since we live in the Mecca of Teriyaki we’ve eaten a whole lots of it everywhere. Teriyaki was invented in Seattle, and the original chef that created it also has a restaurant up here. We’ve been there too. It was good, but it wasn’t Ichi Teriyaki!!

For 10+ years this was my go-to yaki spot. They turned out great meats, the veg was good, they'd actually spice it up if you asked, and they'd always follow any instructions you added, even on online orders.
A couple years ago, that changed. Food got less interesting, they missed every instruction every time. Prices seemed to stay the same, but turnaround got slower. Thankfully I found the old owner running a different...
