Isarn Thai Soul Kitchen

I love going to Isarn with family. Their vegan menu is really large and the food is always yummy and fresh. I asked about a vegan pad kee mao, which is not on the paper or online menu, but was available and on the menu that the servers use on their devices. It was fantastic. Really hit the spot. The green papaya salad is so good, with a garlicky dressing. Fresh and full of flavor. The server said the difference between fried rices is that one has the tofu on top and one mixed and that's all, which is confusing, but we got the one topped with tofu and it was simple and tasty, had the eggy flavor one looks for without being too oily.

I've been coming to Isarn Thai Soul Kitchen at Lynnwood for a few years now, and what keeps me coming back is not just the incredible food but the truly welcoming and amazing staff. The food is consistently excellent, whether I'm grabbing a quick lunch or enjoying a longer dinner date. I'd give more stars if I could. Exceptional

I ordered the Pad Thai from here and as seen in the picture it was a blob of noodle paste and the seasoning and flavor is basically nothing. I put my fork in and the whole thing came up. Chicken also had no flavor and was just overall really poorly made. I called in in good faith hoping they recognize that the quality was not up to par and they said they were busy (which I understand) and that they will get back to me. 2 days later still nothing. 100% would not recommend unless you like flavorless paste with zero customer service

We had a really tasty lunch here! The drinks were good, the food was delicious, and the atmosphere was really nice. I totally recommend this place. Next time, I definitely want to come back and try their pad Thai!

Decor - really nice and pretty restaurant to dine in.

Service was good with attentive servers.

However, the food was a little too salty for us. Almost everything we tried we felt this way (papaya salad, pork salad...). It all tastes good initially but with the whole dish it'd be too salty for us to finish.

I'd still give this restaurant a try if you haven't and maybe we just went on an off day. For us we'd be back one day to try again and maybe ask for less salt!

Update: quality isn’t the same as it was 4 years ago. We also have a gluten free friend and I chose Isarn based on their gluten free options. When they drove from Canada and I chose Isarn for dinner we we sat down to eat they wait staff said they’re not truly gluten free and recommend my friend to not eat the food. So she ate nothing. We haven’t been back since :(

This place is SO GOOD! If you’re trying to decide which Thai place to go to choose this one. Everything on their menu is worth trying (I’ve tried more than half their menu!) I’d highly recommend their happy hour or lunch menu for best value. It’s pretty busy here. I’ve been here 4 times in the past 2 months and hope to make this my regular spot.

I did have an unusual occurrence which was ordering the pad Thai with chicken which came with 50% of the protein being tofu and the rest was chicken. If you look at the menu it doesn’t state anywhere that tofu is in the dish but the waitress assured us that tofu is always included. Not the most pleasant for us.

I absolutely love this place. This place has a great environment and decor and has super awesome staff. Most of them are actually Thai and you can see the cooks working in the back.

Food quality is superb and service is excellent. I always get the Crying Tiger steak bites and the Thai Iced Tea. My wife likes the fresh coconut for drinks. They have a standing bar, but most people come here for the food. Its a smaller place right next to the Alderwood Mall but they have a really efficient layout and are always on point with helping you.

Great Thai food, Isaan style. They frequently play Thai oldies music that makes you feel like you’re in Thailand 🇹🇭. I love this place!
