First of all, I am a coffee snob. I have SUPER HIGH expectations for espresso because it's pretty darn expensive for mostly water, don't you agree? For $6 or more for a cup someone should take time to make it right. In this economy!! I have tried probably more than one hundred coffee places in the area from the major chains to fancy shops to many drive-thru mom-and-pop stands. Kitanda is one of the healthiest spots around, offering the best organic açaí bowls and traditional Brazilian coffee. We visit often and especially love the São Paulo açaí bowl.

I recommend Kitanda to anyone looking for a quick bite to eat at alderwood mall. The staff is always friendly, the food is delicious and fairly priced, the restaurant is always clean and fully stocked with utensils and condiments, it’s a much calmer atmosphere than eating in the food court even when busy on the weekends
