What a treat. A lovely and much needed break from Starbucks.

Finally made it here after getting a recommendation years ago. Excellent experience and even better service - they were helpful in deciding what to get for our first visit. Can't wait to go back.

Fantastic experience. I’m celiac and they were/are super accommodating. Love the atmosphere & traditional Viennese coffee.

This place is more what I would think of as a fancy tea shop than a coffee shop but it’s amazing. The chai is out of this world. The croissants are unbelievable. Must try if you’re in the area

This place serves some of the best coffee I've ever had. As a self-proclaimed coffee shop critic, I can confidently say it’s the finest coffee I've tasted in the States. I’ve traveled to Poland and Australia, where the coffee scene is impressive, but the quality here surpasses even those experiences.

There's truly no place like it. The atmosphere is enchanting, and the service is excellent. The staff embraces a “coffee snob” persona, but it’s endearing and fitting. They address you as "sir" or "madam" while serving up authentic European-style coffee. It’s a wonderfully refined experience.

After months of enduring bitter or harsh-tasting brews other places, taking a sip of their take on an Americano (though it's not technically an Americano, and dont dare call it that 😉) feels like warm, liquid bliss washing the soul clean of sub par coffee.

Please support this local gem and savor their exceptional coffee. We need to champion outstanding coffee quality here in the States and support the wonderful local owners behind this incredible spot.

A hidden gem, this cafe is trying hard to achieve the feel of an Austrian coffee house and I think they succeeded.
Growing up in Germany I've traveled a few times to the neighboring Austria and Kaffeehaus de Châtillon does a great job capturing the essence and atmosphere.
They stick strictly to their concept and you will have less options to customize your coffee drinks, but that is a good thing in this case. We love their boozy coffee drinks. They also offer a good selection of tasty Austrian pastries to go with the coffee.
I can't come up with many places in Washington that match this unique atmosphere and this even wouldn't feel misplaced if it was located in Europe. I'm glad we love close by so we can visit more often.

So good. Atmosphere is spectacular and obviously has a ton of passion put into it. The coffee/food was somehow even better, I could have had so much more! Went here as a recommendation and will 100% be coming back.

Average drinks. Decent pastries. Incredibly pretentious and condescending staff. A classic case of hyping up a real Viennese coffee house and presenting it as something it’s not. Three visits — because I wanted to give them a fair chance — and I haven’t changed my opinion. I rarely bother to leave reviews on Google, let alone negative ones but talking down to your guests and customers and then portraying it as a genuine Viennese coffee house house (because you can condescend in French and German) does not make for the best experience. Ugh!

A fantastic little cafe with a pretty authentic Austrian theme. I was very happy to see "Julius Meinl" coffee being served ❤️ There was a strong sense of professionalism and pride coming from the staff. You are getting your money's worth when you visit Kaffeehaus de Châtillion! Das freut mich sehr dass ich kann auch deutch mit dem Kellner reden ☺️

Went here this morning for the first time and absolutely fell in love with it! I’m visiting from Miami and wish I could visit here every weekend. The owner is so authentic, informative and welcoming, it really feels like being in Vienna. I’ve been! The menu is fantastic and I love that all of the recipes are Viennese and 100s of years old. What a treat - not just for the tastebuds but also for the heart and soul! It’s very cozy inside, too, with comfortable seating in front of a fireplace. Can’t wait to go back!

Wonderful place. Most impressive are atmosphere and service. The lady noticed that this is my first time visiting the coffee shop and gave me a warm welcome and an introduction of the recipes. Presentation of the coffee drinks is wonderful. The one I had was delicious. Drinks are served with a shot of soda to be enjoyed after the drink (which is delicious as well). Very pleasant classical music is playing. I highly recommend this place!!

Parking: Plenty of customer parking. Just make sure to look at the signs and not part in resident parking (residential building nearby).
