Rootwood Cider Taproom - at the Orchard

We came here because we wanted to check it out, and I was immediately drawn in because I love trees and roots—the whole vibe of this place felt so unique and welcoming. It was even better that they had outdoor seating, and on the day we visited they were doing line dancing, which made the atmosphere even more fun.

We were really glad we made reservations because it was packed. It started raining while we were there, but luckily we had seats under the umbrellas, which made it comfortable to stay and enjoy ourselves.

The staff was incredibly friendly, engaging, and as accommodating as possible, especially considering how busy they were. The food was delicious, and I loved that they offered cider flights so we could sample different varieties before deciding on our favorites.

The side dishes paired really well with the ciders, and they also had popcorn and snacks if you just wanted something light. They even had great souvenirs—I ended up buying a sweater because I was getting cold, and I loved the design.

Overall, I would highly recommend stopping by. Great atmosphere, great cider, great food, and a memorable experience.

Absolutely loved all the ciders, best I've ever had! A beautiful spot to sit in the sun too, rare in November. The chips and salsa were ok, but came for the cider anyways.

Rootwood Cider is a must-stop when you’re in the Lake Chelan area! The cider is always fantastic, and the staff is warm and welcoming.

We love the outdoor seating; it’s comfortable, relaxed, and never too loud. You can even reserve a sheltered table in advance, which is a great option. Our favorite ciders are the Harrison, Rosé, and Lake Effect, all super flavorful and well-crafted. The Buzzing Bee cider cocktail was also a standout!

Whether you’re passing through or spending time in Manson, it's always worth a visit.

My family went for the afternoon. We brought my three kids (8,5,1) they had a great assortment of toys, grassy areas, shade. We got to enjoy delicious drinks and they got to enjoy a fun afternoon of play. Would highly recommend a visit - and the Cherry Cider!

The folks are friendly, the cider is delicious and the location is delightful. Add to that, Rootwood is owned and run by a local family with many generations’ experience raising apples and you’ve got a top notch place to enjoy a crisp glass of cider.

What a fantastic spot for an afternoon cider tasting and hangout! We loved our visit from start to finish. The gentleman working was friendly, knowledgeable, and made the experience even better. The ciders are really good, ranging from dry to semi-sweet, with a unique pepper one available right now. Snacks available were perfect for holding us over until dinner. Definitely want to return!

We had such a great experience at Rootwood Cider! It’s truly family friendly, a refreshing change after coming from a nearby winery that made us feel like having kids along was an inconvenience. This place was the exact opposite! There were tons of toys and space for the kids to play, which let us adults relax and actually enjoy our drinks.

The staff was absolutely amazing; kind, personable, and incredibly knowledgeable. He really made the visit special for us. It was our first time here, but we’ll definitely be coming back whenever we’re in town. Highly recommend for families and anyone who wants a welcoming, laid-back atmosphere with great cider! So good that we had to buy some bottles and merch to take home!

Stopped by on a weekday so it wasn’t very busy.

They have a nice outdoor seating area with some toddler toys. Our kid enjoyed playing with the mega blocks while we dined. The indoor space is minimal.

We got a cider flight. Three ciders at 12$ were fair value. The ghost pepper cider was the highlight so we got more of it. It was unlike anything I had tried before.

The apple chips with cream cheese were delicious too and complemented the ghost pepper cider
