Miyako’s is the BEST teriyaki place to go if you want amazing, hand-made food served with genuine care. Every dish is made fresh to order—no pre-cooked shortcuts here—so yes, it might take a bit longer, but it's 100% worth it.

The owners work tirelessly, 7 days a week, pouring heart and soul into everything they do. Shawna, one of the kindest people you’ll meet, is happy to take call-ahead orders if you’re short on time. She juggles cooking, customer service, and running the place—all with a smile.

If something’s not right, just speak up kindly—she’ll make it right. The decor? Nearly all gifts from grateful customers. It’s a reflection of the love and care this place gives and receives.

Hands down the best teriyaki around. Don’t let a wait or a bad review keep you from this gem!!

Please do not listen to Laura with her one star review. This place is the cleanest teriyaki place ever. Even when there’s a wait, Shawna will make sure she does everything in her power to make sure you’re satisfied. We’ve been coming here for years and she’s owned it for 10 years and we have NEVER had anything wrong! The owners work so hard and it’s so disappointing to see rude reviews when I know for certain things were attempted to be resolved. She does not have a single plastic plant in there, she keeps her front table stocked with the most beautiful fresh flowers and plants from her own garden! Please come here and enjoy! You will never be disappointed.

I’ve been coming here for over 6 years, and it’s still my favorite spot for teriyaki! The food is always fresh, flavorful, and cooked perfectly every time. The staff is friendly, welcoming, and makes you feel like family. They always remember my usual order, which makes each visit feel special. The portions are generous, and the prices are more than fair for the quality you get. It’s clear they take pride in their food and their customers. If you’re looking for consistently delicious teriyaki, this is the place to go!

Wasn’t told a price over the phone placed an order 1 hour before close and was hung up on right after placing order and can see why when I showed up to pick up a Chicken Katsu order and it was $42.50. Won’t be coming back.

Twice now I've ordered spicy vegetarian take out. I asked for the super spicy and it didn't disappoint. I will be back probably every time I visit that complex.

We went to Costco for lunch, and their food court is closed so we came here. I am so glad that we did! The food here is amazing! The chicken is cooked to perfection. The rice is a perfect amount of sticky. The owner is so sweet and caring. I don’t live in Marysville, but would love to come back again!

From the moment I walked in, I could tell this place was special. The owner is truly one of the sweetest people—though our conversation was brief, her kindness and respectful demeanor left a lasting impression.

The atmosphere is uniquely whimsical (a but cluttered) and has an inviting, comforting feel that makes dining here an experience rather than just a meal.

Now, let's talk about the teriyaki chicken—perfectly cooked! Moist but never soggy, with a great texture that wasn’t chewy at all. It was on the bland and pale side, but I don't mind that.

I wont say it's the best Teryaki in the world, and my to go portions were a little small, but overall, the experience was pleasant, didn't feel gross and harvy, and I like the owner enough to come back.

Very Delicious teriyaki restaurant. In my opinion The best in the smokey point area. Pricing very reasonable and not much of a wait time. The lady behind the counter is very sweet. The few things I tried from the menu are amazing and can't wait to try the rest of them.

Very very nice lady running the place. Has awesome gluten free choices, the only and best place anywhere around for gluten free teriyaki.

A dining out experience in a small, locally-owned establishment should not come with the same expectations as a fine dining restaurant or a fast food place.
My friend and I meet and have lunch here monthly. We have always been greeted warmly by the owner. She is sweet, kind, and friendly. She and her husband do everything themselves. The atmosphere and decor are hers to enjoy and share—even if your personal taste is different.

Yes, the food may take a bit longer to prepare, but it is always fresh and delicious. They do handle several takeout orders because of the high number of workers in the area. These people likely have limited time to eat we don’t mind them getting those orders out first.

If you have time to enjoy a delicious meal in a friendly, family-owned establishment, base your decision on ALL reviews, not just those of a few.

I love this place! Today I am not feeling well so I ordered the Udon soup w/chicken! This might be my new favorite!
