I like my teriyaki with a little bit of grizzle on it, black grizzle. Not too much but just right. This place did a great job of that. The only thing that brought it to a four star for me was that I like a sweeter teriyaki sauce, and this was more of a soy based teriyaki. It did take us quite a while to get our food which was surprising. I would give it a second shot.
This is the best teriyaki I have had in the PNW. I’m serious. I’ve eaten at most of the reputable spots in Seattle and this place blew me away. Stopped here for dinner on my way to Vancouver. The portions were enormous, the prices were good, the food was piping hot and the quality was high. You can tell someone in the kitchen knows what it takes to make great teriyaki. We stopped here on a recent road trip and we were absolutely delighted. The service was fast, and the portions are giant. We got 3 dishes for 2 adults and 2 kids - everyone was full with heaps leftover.
The inside of the restaurant is unassuming but tidy and clean. And there’s a steady stream of customers, many of whom seem to be regulars. Definitely this is “classic Seattle style teriyaki”...
