Had an amazing meal here. The food, service, environment is welcoming and delicious. Chef Joel, Matt and Sara were a treat to also meet and added to the parings. Their team are masters of their craft. I had the halibut and truly “hit the spot”! Definitely a place to be savored, day or night. I will be back again, hungry for more.
I lived in the Seattle area for 15 years and never thought of Mercer Island as a destination. While visiting a friend we stopped in downtown Mercer Island and found allister. Great bartender, Matt, and great staff, Shannon. The chef and owner took time to introduce themselves and ask about our experience. We really enjoyed the NY strip steak and scallops! Easy access by drive or this new blue line light rail that did not exist 15 years ago! Mercer Island, I never knew ya!
Yes, you should experience Allister. We had the scallops, the trout and the lamb. All of which we have had before but somehow Chef Joel gave us the opportunity to taste these in a new and exciting way. After each I was thinking I had just tasted what they were really supposed to be. Perfectly cooked and everything on the plate served the purpose of bringing out the flavors of the dish.
