Having eaten from a number of Japanese restaurants in the Seattle area (and London and New York etc), this one has some of the highest quality fish of any I have tried. We ordered the house special sashimi selection and a number of rolls - all were excellent, the service is great, very fast and friendly. This is now my go to for sushi in the East / South of Seattle. Yuzen is such a great local spot on the south end of Mercer Island! We’ve always had excellent service and consistently delicious food. We recently tried a couple of the new menu items, and they definitely did not disappoint. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. We’re always happy to support this neighborhood gem and look forward to coming back again!
I ordered the Philadelphia Roll, one piece Inari Nigiri, and one piece Creamy Scallop Nigiri. It was among the best sushi I have ever had, and it reminded me of Hello Nori in the Vancouver Area in BC. I wish there were prices on the Nigiri section of the menu, even if it was “Market Price”. The restaurant looks unassuming! The staff are kind, but approached us before we had a chance to look at the menu or have a bite of our food.
