It is a coastal tavern/bar..not a city bar..the people there are like family and the bartender..Mel..was a fantastic woman with a world of knowledge about the area and things to do. Food was good!
Dropped by yesterday for happy hour and had a great time! We got there right after opening, had a few beers and put some tunes on the "juke box." Regulars wandered in and out, everyone was friendly and welcoming. The reviews of Mel and the Sea Gate are spot on. You will never meet a more genuine, welcoming person! Mel!!!! What an incredibly kind and warm person! Thank you for a fabulous dinner. Everything we ordered was wonderful, fish and chips, burger and chicken sandwich. Our family felt so welcomed and loved the beverages. Sad to hear they are closing for a few months and will come back in spring. A hidden gem on our Washington coast
