About Windjammer Restaurant & Lounge

Windjammer Restaurant & Lounge in Pacific Beach is a popular spot for locals and visitors alike. The food is good, especially the moist and delicious fish and chips, though some find them average. The service is fast and friendly, and the place offers a full range of fried bar foods and burgers, along with homemade chowder that some say is pretty good but a bit salty. The prices are reasonable, with pints of Manny's relatively cheap, and the restaurant is wheelchair accessible with convenient parking options. It is located inside the Pacific Beach Resort & Conference Center, which is a Navy Lodge, but the restaurant is accessible for everyone without a military ID. The restaurant is small and simple, offering a limited menu, but the food is seasoned and tasty. Customers have enjoyed their fish and chips and found the food reasonably priced. The staff is patient and helpful, especially with large groups or families, and the chowder has been praised as excellent. The area lacks many food options, making Windjammer a good choice especially since seating isn’t an issue. It’s a great place to enjoy a meal or meet old friends for a New Year's Eve celebration with dancing and party favors. Just rely on Google for directions due to the lack of a sign on the building. Overall, it remains a good spot to get a quick, satisfying meal in a friendly environment, especially since the seating isn't an issue.

Server (Dan) super friendly and helpful. Great with the kids and both prompt and thoughtful. We got burgers and they were just what we wanted / needed after spending a nice long day near the beach. Would definitely be back. Very local-y and laid back especially contrasted with nearby Seabrook.
Very busy, festive, loud and great service for being slammed with people.
This was our first time here. The campsites are clean and you have plenty of space. We went to the restaurant and the staff (especially Dan) were amazing. I haven’t seen someone work that hard in a long time. They appeared to be short handed but he was getting things done and very nice and respectful. I would definitely stay again.
