Bob's Cafe Reviews
Had a steak off of the Senior menu. Was the worst steak I've ever had. No seasoning whatsoever and the crust on it was so hard I had trouble cutting it.
Had to wait quite awhile for our food, but they appeared pretty busy. Had the Monte Cristo sandwich which was quite good!
Forget it if you want a 1/2 order. I was told they couldn't do a half order of eggs Benedict. Sad to see that they'd rather throw away food to get the full price paid, rather than being conscious of food waste. I ended up just sticking to coffee. My daughter wanted just an omelette with no hash browns or toast, and was told we'd still be charged full price. Bob's Cafe is known for its accommodating staff, particularly in the side room for family gatherings, and the super friendly service at the bar. The staff are attentive to tables, contributing to a laid-back ambiance that is great for a chill breakfast or lunch. The menu offers great portions, with highlights like the chicken fried steak and eggs, which were well-received, as well as the French toast. However, there are still comments about the food quality not matching the price. Some meals, such as the chicken fried steak and deli meat in sandwiches, were said to be comparable to pre-packaged options. The medium rare steak was described as rare, and the fries were noted to be soggy and unseasoned. The club and chicken cordon bleu sandwiches had too much mustard, making them difficult to eat. Despite the positive atmosphere and friendly service, some diners have expressed mixed feelings about returning.
