Ordered Kung poa, combination and egg drop soup and honestly it wasn't worth the money.

Food was great minus the rice being overly hard. Great flavor and great presentation. Service and atmosphere were awesome.Parking: It's a small lot and not easy to get out of.

This is my go to Asian food restaurant....eat in or take out. Food is consistently excellent. I personally love the moo shu pork and broccoli beef, Mongolian.....service is good, tea is good, and crab/cheese wontons are to die for.
Door Dash food was old, bland, meat was Grey, rice was dry. Because it took only 15 minutes from order to delivery says a lot. It was a horrible delivery order. 100 bucks into the garbage with no accommodations from DoorDash.
Attentive, friendly and helpful staff. The combination appetizer was delicious. We didn’t like the almond fried chicken. We liked the pork chop suet and pork dumplings. They didn’t have a bartender but the server did her best to make the cocktails we asked for.

My family found Fortune Mandarin back in 2007 when we moved to Whatcom County. We have had wonderful service and food ever since our first visit. The only reason why I'm giving this rating of a 4-star review is because the price has gone up 35%. I am not saying that the food isn't worth the cost because we think that this is the best Chinese food restaurant in Skagit and Whatcom countries but with the cost going up so much we can't afford to go as often as we have and would like to. It could also be because my kids are now teenagers. The Fortune Mandarin family has welcomed my family to join their family each and every time we come in.We LOVE this restaurant!! Thanks to the lovely people who welcome us to join them for dinner.Kid-friendliness: When we walk into the restaurant, we are greeted with a hello, where's the missing kid from our family is that isn't with us that time.To me, that is the personal touch that makes Fortune Mandarin AMAZING!! It also makes them stand out because this type of customer service doesn't happen often anymore.
I don't understand how this place is in business if it is so dirty? Read the bad comments. It badThe restaurant must have flooded this with good comments themselves. It should be a 2.8-3 stars.

If you are looking for good hot and sour soup, this is the place to go!Other than that.... veggies were not cooked and there was no flavor in the food. The waitress was not the nicest either...And it was over priced! A medium plate was $15.50.

Well, once is more than enough to decide on this place. All 3 of us were unhappy with the quality and taste of the completely different lunches we ordered. I will head back to Riverside Chinese place next time I am craving almond chicken.
